Christopher Wright is a retired criminal defense attorney with something important to say about the Jan. 6 prisoners. While reading his article below, remember that if the government is allowed to get away with this type of lawless action against one group of people whose political beliefs it doesn’t like, it will soon claim the same power over others it defines as its political enemies.
That doesn’t bode well for those who refuse mandated injections, and we already see in other Western countries like Austria, Germany, Italy and Australia that the global plan is to arrest, fine and imprison those who reject the jab.
American refusniks are just one Supreme Court decision away from a similar fate. If that happens, all of us who claim sovereignty over our own bodies could find ourselves in the same position as the Jan. 6 prisoners. So this is no time to be controlled by a normalcy bias. Let’s face it, the globalists running our nation want us jabbed, jailed or killed. They openly tell us their “patience is growing thin” and we are a danger to others, in direct contrast to the scientific facts.
Call your member of Congress and ask them to demand justice for the Jan. 6 prisoners. Because tomorrow it could be us rotting away in a dingy jail cell, with no access to family, attorneys, or the American justice system.
A new report from House Republicans put a spotlight on the cruel treatment of the Jan. 6 prisoners who are still awaiting trial, none of whom have been charged with insurrection. The report cites, among other things, detention without court dates or bail, no family visits, and intentional abuse by prison guards. [C-SPAN Gateway Pundit]
Before detailing the abuses further, first, a little perspective. The charges against these prisoners are things like trespass, assault on a police officer, and obstruction of official proceedings. None of this amounts to insurrection, despite the Democrats’ robotic and ubiquitous incantations of the term. Prosecutors haven’t charged insurrection because they know they can’t make a case for it.
When I was a criminal defense attorney, a charge like trespass for first offenders would have been handled completely differently. There would have been a chance of first offender treatment whereby, if certain conditions were met, the charge would be dropped and the record expunged. If not first offender treatment, the defendant would have been granted release on their own recognizance or small bond, probably pled guilty, and been sentenced to probation and a fine. To keep a first offender in jail on a minor charge for almost a year without a finding of guilt or even a court date would have been unthinkable. The way the January 6th cases are being handled is crazy, and the only reason is politics.
Back to the abuses: A congressional delegation toured the facility where the prisoners still awaiting trial are being held and talked to them. The delegation heard stories of broken toilets, prison guards mocking prisoners as members of a cult and telling them to denounce Trump, not being fed properly, not being allowed religious services, being denied medical treatment or even haircuts, not getting their mail on a regular basis, being confined to their cells most of the day, and not being allowed to talk to their attorneys.
This is America? No, this is more like the Star Chamber of Merry Olde England, where the King used criminal process to control his political enemies. [Criminal Evidence: Principles and Cases by Thomas J. Gardner, Terry M. Anderson, p. 175].
Constitutional rights and due process were thrown out the window. What is happening to the Jan. 6 prisoners is starting to look like indefinite detention, which is a big constitutional no-no. Why don’t we just cut to the chase and put them on the rack until they denounce Trump and admit they conspired with him to overthrow the U.S. government?
Democrats [and their media lackeys] want to paint these prisoners as insurrectionists, committed revolutionaries who conspired to take down the whole system. Stupid wahoos who didn’t know what their goal was or how to achieve it, but were just upset, is more like it.
Anybody like me who has tried to organize anything will tell you the grassroots political right is completely incapable of pulling together anything as complicated as overthrowing a government. Heck, we organizers have a hard enough time getting people to write to Congress on important issues. Don’t tell me this was a planned insurrection. I don’t believe you. Twelve years of trying to herd cats on the political right tells me otherwise.
So how about a little justice for the Jan. 6 prisoners whose cases have not yet been resolved? Why not let them see their families? Why not grant them bail? Why not give them court dates and get on with it? If there’s an insurrection here, it’s by the Democrats who have turned this whole thing into a big circus to persecute their political enemies, and who are stomping all over these prisoners and the Constitution in the process.

Mike, My wife is busy in the kitchen right now but I’ll get you some information. She prays for these people regularly. She keeps a notebook of names, gives money, has written a few (I wrote one). If she does not know, I can at least share her list. I can call Leo to ask what he knows. I’m sure there are lists. It is a SAD reality that is not even comprehensible in America. Many of these people have never been arraigned. From what I know, their treatment is as bad as ANY I know in America! The fact that many are veterans and people without any criminal history is astounding. Plus the whole situation was a set-up and classical entrapment for political gain – nothing else. I interrupted my wife’s prayer time but she said there are a couple sites; she will forward to my email later tonight or tomorrow. The first thing is that people KNOW this occurs; second, they can pray to God for mercy; third, they can donate money or “adopt” one of the families. I’m off to bed soon, Tim

This is terrible. Until recently. I thought the people arrested at the capital on 1\6/21 had been fined and released from prison. I’ve said it once and will continue to say so. Donald Trump had 16 days to give a presidential pardon to everyone who was arrested on 1/6/21. Seems to me that’s the least Trump could have done since the people arrested at the capital were reportedly protesting Donald Trump’s reported stolen election. Mr. Trump didn’t exercise his executive powers to put down the rampant anarchy (looting, rioting, etc.) that happened during his presidential term either.

I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. As much as he correctly did right, he left a few stragglers that frustrate us. For sure, he did not know this “insurrection tragedy” would occur. The link to the street violence in many cities was accurate – even as culpability goes directly to the mayors and governors. As I remember, the violence in the street – with police being shot and brutalized, and many buildings destroyed by fire, much wealth disappearing – that can’t be compared with the January 6th narrative of “those evil people who mostly submitted to the aggravation of Federal agents who agitated these people into what they did.” This tragedy must be stopped – but there is too little justice today. When justice is perverted, we are in serious trouble – and we are!

Trump is a phony and a globalist pushing these shots. I wouldn’t walk accross the street to see him bloviate and pushing poison shots. He won’t grant pardon anyway. Never trust a politician they are playing their globalist role in gov. Congress is corrupt taking bribes. This country is ruined, voting won’t fix anything now.

Agreed Laura. Don’t remember who wrote an article or what the title was I read in 2016 or 2017. But the author stated that Trump was a Trojan horse that would deceive conservatives and patriots. As one dear pastor friend of mine has said. Lots of things we see and hear from DC is nothing more than public theater.

Observing the USA, especially the Democrat planned one party state, I’m glad to be living elsewhere. the way I see it, after carefully reading comments from both sides of the divide, it is clear that Biden was the trigger for the 6 Jan event. It was Biden who appeared on TV and said that the Democrats had their most successful fraudulent election ever. Not even the “fact checkers” could deny that as it was so obvious!
