U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Tuesday the resignation of Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.
Who is Nuland? She is widely regarded as one of the chief architects of the Maidan uprising, a color revolution in Ukraine instigated by Nuland in cooperation with Western-backed intelligence operatives that overthrew a duly elected pro-Russian leader and led to the installation of a Western puppet government and eventually war with Russia.
In a statement, Blinken said his friend “Toria” has held most of the jobs at the State Department, from a consular officer to ambassador and deputy secretary, over a career that has spanned 35 years. Nuland’s most recent position was undersecretary for political affairs. He gave no reason for her departure, although it may have something to do with the more than 400,000 dead Ukrainians, lives wasted on a battlefield despite there being no sign that NATO’s proxy war against Russia could ever be won.
A report by The Gateway Pundit notes that the conservative news outlet filed a Freedom of Information Request recently to find out what Victoria Nuland’s role was in the death of U.S. journalist Gonzalo Lira in the Ukraine. Lira, an opponent of the war with Russia, died January 11, 2024, in a Kharkiv prison. Lira had charged that Nuland “hates my guts” and was responsible for his arrest. Lira had made a video in 2022 detailing Nuland’s role in stirring up instability in Ukraine.
The U.S. and NATO have also suffered a run of embarrassing losses in the propaganda war that accompanies all shooting wars. There was the blowing up of the Nordstream 2 pipeline, clearly orchestrated by NATO-aligned agents. There was the aforementioned death of Gonzalo Lira. There was the leaked information that Russian dissident Alexei Navalny actually died of a blood clot while in a Russian prison and was not “murdered” by Russia as alleged by Washington. Then you had the New York Times article from two weeks ago in which the CIA admits it has deployed a network of bases, numbering at least a dozen, in Ukraine over the last 10 years for the purpose of implementing, arming and propping up a Western-backed puppet government on Russia’s border. And the latest bombshell that dropped just two days ago, that Russia had intercepted a discussion by German military generals about how to blow up Russia’s bridge to the Crimean peninsula using Taurus long-range missiles. This report, confirmed by Germany’s government, came out just days after German Chancellor Olaf Stolz had said Germany, unlike France, had no plans to ever use its military to attack Russian territory, let alone a civilian target like a bridge to Crimea!
But none of these embarrassing failures were mentioned by Blinken Tuesday. It was all popcorn and balloons, celebrating the wonderful successes of a longtime soldier of the American deep state, Ms. Victoria Nuland.
“What makes Toria truly exceptional is the fierce passion she brings to fighting for what she believes in most: freedom, democracy, human rights, and America’s enduring capacity to inspire and promote those values around the world,” Blinken said.
All of those words — freedom, democracy, human rights — have different meanings to Blinken and the global cabal than they would to we the people. “Freedom” does not mean living as one chooses according to the individual rights endowed by our Creator, but rather according to whatever privileges the government sees fit to grant us. And “democracy” most definitely does not include the rights of nations to choose their own leaders in free and fair elections. Rather, they must choose leaders favored by Washington who can be counted on to follow the U.S.-led liberal world order. Blinken did say one thing that was true. He said Nuland’s “leadership on Ukraine” will be the subject of study “for years to come” by diplomats and students of foreign policy.
Indeed it will.
Nuland was directly involved in the Maidan uprising and the subsequent coup in Kiev. In December 2013, she visited Ukraine to hand out pastries to the armed protesters in Kiev’s central square. She was then recorded discussing how to “midwife this thing” with then-US ambassador to Kiev, Geoffrey Pyatt, just days before the February 2014 coup.
In a CNN interview last month, Nuland admitted the defeat of US policy towards Moscow, describing today’s Russia as “not the Russia that, frankly, we wanted.” Here’s a clip from that interview below.
So there you have it. War is good for the economy. Pitting Russians and Ukrainians against each other and watching tens of thousands of them get slaughtered is great fun for folks like Nuland. And hey, we should all be proud of her because these foreign killing fields always lead to good jobs for Americans back home.
Nuland and her ilk are sick people. And her people include folks on both sides of the aisle in the Washington establishment, folks like Blinken, Condoleezza Rice, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Biden, the Obamas, the Bushes, the Clintons, Senators Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell, and Reps. Michael McCaul of Texas and Mike Turner of Ohio, just to name a few.
They all parrot the same lies and half truths about fighting for freedom and “democracy.” Why? Because it works. Americans are suckers for this jingoistic rhetoric. They fall for it every time.
In truth, there is absolutely no difference in the amount of freedom or democracy one would experience living in Russia as opposed to Ukraine. Both countries have authoritarian governing structures in place, both of which are known to clamp down on press and political expressions that challenge the official government narratives.
Not that this is any business of the United States, anyway. What business is it of Washington’s what form of government a country far from our borders has adopted?
Who are we, anyway, to talk about another country’s democracy, or lack thereof? We live in a country, America, that has morphed into something most of us no longer recognize — a country ruled by a government that openly censors political speech (they call it “disinformation“), the very type of speech we’re told is guaranteed by our First Amendment, and arrests elderly ladies caught praying outside of abortion clinics, subjecting them to long prison terms of 10 years or more, while holding political prisoners who committed the crime of walking through the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
So, Ms. Victoria Nuland, spare us the lecture about standing up for freedom and democracy. These are the same tired talking points that have been used to justify wars all over the world, hundreds of wars and revolutions, since the end of World War II.
Victoria Nuland does deserve some credit, however.
She is one of the world’s leading experts on how to conduct a color revolution. She, and the rest of the self-appointed neocon globalist elites, more accurately called global predators, are in the business of starting wars, destabilizing countries, sabotaging infrastructure, and conducting regime changes, while perfecting the art of propaganda to where it looks like the targeted country is the one guilty of military aggression. How do they do this? They do it through secret infiltrations and spying operations, payoffs for friendly foreign actors, and control of media narratives, all under the control of a rogue, unaccountable CIA. They’ve been doing it for years, and don’t expect it to stop just because Nuland has resigned.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova attributed Nuland’s exit to “the failure of the anti-Russian course of the Biden administration.” But there is likely more to this story of Nuland’s exit that will leak out over time.
Nuland is married to fellow war hawk Robert Kagan, the founder of the neoconservative Project for a New American Century in which he provides intellectual support for regime changes around the world on behalf of the U.S. government. Her sister-in-law, Kimberley Kagan, is married to Robert’s brother Fred and runs the Institute for the Study of War.
Surely a lucrative book deal and perhaps a cushy job at a Washington think tank awaits Ms. Nuland upon her retirement from government service. Or maybe she will be recycled as a top executive at one of the major armaments manufacturers.
One way or another, Victoria Nuland will be rewarded for a job well done. She played a vital role in the butchery of more than 500,000 mostly Christian Russians and Ukrainians. That’s how Washington works.

It’s been awhile since I’ve commented because I’ve been on other websites. But I see the same battle here as there.
This story by Leo was well-researched and well-written as usual, and the majority of the comments were not only relevant to his subject but insightful as well. Yet two readers chose to deviate from what this story was all about because they were singularly focused on either trying to malign or erase a religious/ethnic group. One used sarcasm and the other scriptures.
This type of thing has increased almost 400% since Oct. 7, 2023 but it hasn’t just been a matter of words. There have been physical attacks and some are afraid for their lives in an atmosphere worldwide that is beginning to resemble Nazi Germany.
Words matter, because they can ignite feelings, and feelings can cause one to do certain things. So it often starts with what is spoken or written.
If we, as believers, don’t speak out against it, then what is the point of our faith, of calling ourselves followers of Jesus Christ? The people who He came from are under attack and will we stay silent about it? Again?

Victoria Nuland is Jewish. Some people may think the Jews are a race of sociopaths, but that’s crazy! How can they be? They’re “God’s Chosen.” Some people think the Jews are driven to destroy – that it’s in their DNA to do so. But that’s crazy too! As podcaster Doug Thornton call them, they are “The apple of God’s eye.”
Look, she may or may not be responsible for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men, but you’re all Christians. You’ll forgive her. You must, for she knows not what she does. And if you haven’t learned by now that even if a Jew does something wrong, they are above the law, and even public criticism!
Look at Gaza. If it wasn’t, “The world’s most moral army” that was involved in this conflict, just think of the death and carnage that would be taking place! (I guess Leo is so busy he has forgotten to cover this subject.)
So whatever, forgive Victoria Nuland – she’s Jewish!

My hubby and I watched your interview with Tony from M2M today and my hubby and I were chuckling about how many of the things you said were exactly what we had said…”you would have to close down just about every Federal Agency”…”start with a mass movement of repentance”…”no political Messiah”…and so many other things you said.

All i can say is they better not drag our sons and daughters
into this Russia- Ukraine conflict, like they did in Vietnam,
and the Middle east etc. They always have reasons to cover
up the real reason at the expense of young lives. All Lies!
Very unfortunate that so many have died because of our

From what I’ve been able to find in researching today, she did leave during Trump’s term (don’t know if she left willingly or was fired) and then resurfaced under Biden. Not sure of the exact timing of that revolving door.

I found that she resigned at the start of the Trump administration, along with other of her ilk in January 2017. But then Trump later appoints John Bolton and Mike Pompeo to his administration, both very notorious neocons and warmongers. At the time, it upset me because it was clear that he was NOT draining the swamp, just appointing the GOP version of it, while Nuland and company represented the Democrat version of the same swamp. And the American public falls for this left-right game every time. That’s the pity of it.

Very good article, Leo. I learned a whole lot that I did not know. So, should I consider Victoria Nuland’s resignation to be just another in the “cluster” of resignations lately, as so much previously unknown information is coming to light ? Or, should I consider the possibility that her (and other) departures are part of a carefully-planned “personnel & policy laundering”…. i.e., part of the “cleanup” of the Color Revolutions ? Whatever the case, “war checks all the boxes” : money, deaths, puppet governments, etc.

Well, we’ll certainly miss her compassionate, nurturing, feminine presence on the world stage.
I do remember Ms Nuland telling us that the laboratories, liberated by the Russians that resided within sight of their border, were not bio-warfare labs but centres for the investigation of Alzheimer’s Disease and similar.
We shall miss her. Good luck, Mr Nuland.

This woman does indeed look evil. She bears some resemblance to the late Louise Fletcher, who won an Oscar for her role as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Very Scary!
