TDS or TIS? How ‘Derangement Syndrome’ has infected both sides in the left-right paradigm

Keeping people angry, fearful, confused and emotionally on the edge (their ability to be critical thinkers neutralized) is key to the globalist plan to create a herd mentality (hive mind) that punishes dissent and rewards compliance

I’m not aware of any period in modern history where deception was more intense than what we’re seeing today. The growing number and sophistication of psy ops being run on global populations makes it harder than ever to truly discern what’s going on. I hope this article will help in that regard but we will all need to pray for godly discernment as we move foreward into a new year that seems primed for war, violent uprisings, bitter crackdowns by authoritarian leaders, and rising economic hardship.

Whether it’s the protests in Iran or the civil unrest in the U.S., you can literally find two polar-opposite reports of what’s going on, with each “side” providing online videos (many of them fake) to prove their case. It has been much the same with the situation in Venezuela and before that, Gaza.

One person’s freedom fighter is another person’s terrorist and the parts are interchangeable.

The pressure to conform on either side of the dueling narratives is intensifying. You must pick a side because, as they like to say, “you’re either for us or against us.”

The globalists fear a united America more than anything. They love to drive wedges and hence all the pressure points are designed to create a bifurcated society that can’t agree on anything and becomes easily manipulated. There is no nuance. The two sides are immune to facts. They are eager to jump to conclusions and the politicians and media operatives are always waiting eagerly to fan the flames.

So those who refuse to be forced into either of the two “sides” are made to feel like outcasts. These folks are the real threats to the system because they use independent critical thinking to judge right from wrong, constitutional from unconstitutional, often listening to sources outside of the left-right paradigm. As long as you operate from within that paradigm, you are not at all dangerous to the advancing New World Order. You are being used.

So while I have always espoused principles like pro-life, pro-family, and pro-defense/anti-war, I hesitate in today’s environment to call myself a “conservative,” given all of the many variations that come with that label.

If you question any of the narratives coming out of the White House these days, the blowback is immediate and intense. Criticism is no longer allowed. That, in itself, should be cause for concern.

If you post a critical assessment or even question the recent moves by the White House either on the domestic front with regard to its handling of protesters or on its increasingly provocative foreign policy, you immediately get hit with an onslaught of accusations.

They won’t debate you on the facts. Instead, you’ll receive some variation of the following memes, “you must be a Democrat,” or “at least we don’t have Kamala, would you rather have Kamala?” or “you’re such a Trump hater.”

When I remind them that I voted for Trump three times, they roll out the trusty old meme “don’t look at the facts, look at the bigger picture… just trust the plan!”

If they’re really bold, they’ll accuse you of having “TDS” which stands for “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” This is a clever ploy because it makes the argument all about one man and whether we are willing to genuflect at his feet, rather than about the people and whether some of the policies we see being pursued are in line with the Constitution and the leader’s own campaign promises.

These slogans, as juvenile as they may seem, are very effective at keeping the critics sidelined and marginalized. There is no longer any room for dissent or debate. This is always a bad sign when a movement devolves into a state of group think, because honest debate doesn’t destroy a movement, it sharpens it.

Instead, we hear that if you don’t trust Trump, you must be guilty of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).

So perhaps we need to reassess who it is that’s suffering from the mental condition known as “derangement.”

I’d like to make my case for an equally dangerous, equally contagious disease called Trump Idolization Syndrome (TIS). The first step toward recovery is to admit you have it.

I suppose it comes down to the way we view our government and its leaders, generally, not just with regard to President Trump. Have they, whether Democrat or Republican, earned our trust over the decades? Have not both “sides” lied to us at pivotal points in history? If we answer these questions honestly, I think history shows that we should not start from a position of trust, but rather from a position of accountability.

Accountability is a biblical principle. Trust in man, earthly kings and systems, is not.

To hold a politician accountable for his promises is not derangement. To hold him up as an idol is.

Our president swore an oath to the Constitution. But when asked last week if he feels that his actions are constrained by anything, he did not name the Constitution, God or anything outside of himself. He said the only thing that constrains him is his own personal morals and his own mind.

Trusting in a leader with no accountability other than to himself is dangerous. I would go so far as to say it’s Trump Idolization Syndrome (TIS).

If you suffer from TIS, you are unable to see what he has thrown right in your face. No matter how outrageous…You just can’t see through the fog of the fake.

The precedent of invading a sovereign country and kidnapping its leader was nothing to get concerned about, even though the rationale for this draconian action kept changing — from drugs, to restoring the Monroe Doctrine, to taking another country’s oil and maximizing its value for ourselves.

He ran on ending the foreign wars. He said we were going to stop the wars and end the uber-expensive (but highly profitable) nation-building projects. Then he embarked on a year of continued wealth and weapons transfers to Ukraine, renamed the Department of Defense the Department of War, and calls for increasing the funding of the War Department by 50 percent, adding another half-trillion dollars to an already bloated and unaudited Pentagon budget. This will continue to enrich the military-industrial complex, which is why you see old lady Lindsey Graham so frequently at Trump’s side and on Fox News grinning from ear to ear as he congratulates the president on a job well done.

We must close our eyes to all of this or we are Democrats and Trump haters.

Then you have his continued drive to annex the island of Greenland, either by buying it or sending the military in to just take it. Rep. Randy Fine introduced legislation this week that would authorize President Trump to acquire Greenland and place it on a path that would make it the 51st state. This despite the fact that the owner of Greenland, which is the nation of Denmark, says it’s not for sale. Complete insanity. Unless you suffer from TIS, in which case it’s part of the plan to make America safe and beef up our national security against those nasty Russians and Chinese, even though we already have U.S. military bases sitting empty in Greenland and the island is part of NATO.

Then you have the threats to restart the war with Iran. It’s difficult to determine exactly what is going on inside Iran, and whether the recent uprisings have truly weakened Iran’s Islamic regime or if that regime has managed to survive and fight another day. But either way, I do believe Trump will attack that country again.

Then you have Trump saying in the wide open that he plans to send the U.S. military into Mexico to clean out the drug cartels.

Cuba is being threatened with possible military action as well.

Any country that does business with Russia is blackballed and hit with 500 percent tariffs. Russian oil tankers are commandeered in international waters.

Amid all of the unleashed chaos, we are still supposed to sit back and trust the plan. It will all work out in the end for our freedom and prosperity , we’re told. Just have faith.

Then you have Trump’s romance with the tech Bros. Folks like Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg, and especially Elon Musk and Peter Theil.

Musk and Theil have reportedly already started investing in Greenland and plan to transform it into a tech-based “freedom city.”

Five years ago, Gates gave us the mRNA death shots that we know have harmed millions and killed millions of others. Instead of watching Gates hauled off to jail, we had to watch him sitting in a seat of honor beside First Lady Melania at the White House, talking about what? More shots. This was a man who we were told would be arrested and suddenly he’s in the White House breaking bread with the president and his wife. And yet, we’re told to trust. Astonishing.

We are told President Trump sacrificed so much to be our leader. Never mind that his family has tripled its wealth through their investments in crypto since Trump re-entered the White House. Jacob Thompson at The Winepress has more on this in his January 12 article, Scammer in Chief: Trump’s crypto firm World Liberty Financial applies for bank charter to issue USD1 Stablecoins, his family to profit handsomely.

We were told that Trump was pro-life but he recently suggested he’s ready to compromise on the Hyde Amendment.

We were told Trump would be for smaller government, that he would end the IRS and shut down the Department of Education, possibly the ATF as well.

But the government footprint and its power over our lives has not decreased. If anything, its power has increased.

This was never more evident than when Trump’s vice president, J.D. Vance, made the audacious claim last week that federal agents deployed in America’s cities have “absolute immunity” from any crimes committed while on the job. Translation: They operate above the law and you had better fear them. What happens when the Democrats return to power and regain control of these federal agents? Will those suffering from TIS still be cheering for the same hard-nosed tactics and absolute immunity?

Lawlessness is lawlessness. It shouldn’t matter whether the boot on an American’s neck is red or blue.

It’s time to get our priorities straight and return to the principles of our Constitution. If we no longer believe in the Constitution as the law of the land, as the constrainer of strong men claiming new government powers, then we really are finished as a country.

TIS is a dangerous disease, with deadly ramifications for our country. If you suspect you have the symptoms, please seek appropriate medical attention immediately.

  1. Excellent article Leo. Like millions of others I have been watching myself being totally deceived by Trump, both in 2020 when HE kept fauci in place and bragged after about the jab HE imposed on Americans and since January 2025 when he started the madness we are now living in.

I simply think that the globalists own Trump as much as they owned his predecessors. He is playing his part to destroy further the foundations they want to destroy in order to replace them with their NWO (their one world government).

Trump is an actor and most likely a psychopath, he has no problem playing the bad guy, so that every idea he pretends to stand for will be discredited, both the bad ideas (like the wars and genocides he is guilty of) and the good ones (like ending the woke/gender lunacy and the climate hoax).

He is effectively making the bed very comfortable for his successors, who in November will win the elections and when a new “democrat” “president” comes in 2028, he will be able to crack down on patriots, freedom lovers, conservatives and anything that stands in the way of the NWO.

It was obvious that Trump was controlled opposition at the moment he bragged about the deathvax and that he was crooked when the fake “ear murder” attempt took place + who funded his campaign ( ultra zionist donors).

Will people who have been betrayed by democrats and republicans repeatedly now get it and either stop to vote or vote for any candidate but not those of the establishment or are most people finally too stupid to even change?

Let’s hope for the best, and prepare for the worst.

    1. Yup the globalists own Trump. Trump is letting millions flood our borders just like the globalists want. Trump is rejoining the WHO and other international organizations just like the globalists want. Trump is letting foreign organizations tell us what to do and what not to do just like the globalists want. Trump is fully backing Ukraine with billions of dollars just like the globalists want. Trump is allowing foreign countries to have client states in the Americas while our troops stay overseas and overthrow countries we have no business in, just like the globalists want. Trump is getting rid of tariffs so that foreign countries can flood our markets with cheap goods and put our industrial industries out of business, just like the globalists want. Trump is censoring social media, just like the globalists want. Trump is destroying the family and going after white men and especially Christians, just like the globalists want. I’m tired of thinking of all the ways Trump is aiding the globalists. Good thing he’s doing exactly what the previous Presidents have done, the exact same things. It’s amazing how much the globalists own Trump. And by the way, you can’t be that stupid.

      1. I said he was just the same in terms of the surveillance state, so go away you little trump cult troll. Because in the end, the advancement of the global surveillance state is all that really matters to the globalists. All of the other things you mention can be reversed on day one of a new presidential administration, but the surveillance state built by Trump will remain.

  2. This morning I “unfriended” a very long time friend on Facebook because his postings of a steady stream appearing on my feed of his pro-Trump propaganda were unending. My challenges to the content of those postings were in vain. Trump could do no wrong, he was the finest leader ever in his eyes. Some of his FB friends chimed in with the usual neocon memes and peevish rebuttals, a lot of “woke” rightist speech instead of reasoned debate with proofs offered. I linked to proofs of my position but these went unread and kicked aside as not worthy of consideration. So rather than further pursuing a futile path, I unfriended to prevent these obnoxious postings in my feed and the temptation to respond to their absurdities.

Since the mid-60s, I have been a conservative, but over the years I have been vaguely troubled by the actions of conservatives once they attained power for a season. Our poliical pattern seems like this: first the Left floods the political landscape with outrageous cultural and legal attacks upon the traditional and the rational. The Right correctly campaigns against that as immoral, anti-American and anti-civilizational. But when the Right is in power, all that is forgotten as they enable the robber barons to loot America of its wealth and property. Both Left and Right take us to war for the profit of the military-industrial-intelligence complex, but since 9/11, the Right has been especially keen to trash Constitutional rights and responsibilities to benefit the unelected “security state” (intelligence services) which has slowly been taking over our government at every level.

With this latest outrage of Trump’s campaign against Venezuela, most “conservatives” have cheered this obscene action on. When I or others have pointed out the illegality of this situation, the naked piracy our military was ordered to perform, Trump’s usurpation of the power of Congress to decide when and who we war against, “conservatives” defend the lies fed by our media and government, preferring a macho show of brute force, the return to the law of the jungle rather than our Constitution. No debate, no demonstration of proofs showing another story or the consequences of Trump’s actions persuades them. Hegseth and Rubio recently defined what America First is —it means projecting American domination everywhere globally and by force. NOT America First to foster our civilization on the principles first set forth by our Founding Fathers for the benefit and prosperity of our citizens.

So “conservatism” conserves nothing of America and its ideals. Conservatism embodied by the GOP and other organizations is a lie and like the Leftists, they take America apart when and where it suits their politics. But the Constitution is what formed us as a nation; our adherence to it maintains the existence of our country. Without it, we are not America. Instead, “conservatism” of America today is increasingly resembling fascism and Nazism. Most “conservatives” fearfully look over their left shoulder at the bogeyman of communism, while ignoring the equally dangerous bogeyman of fascism/Nazism standing over their right shoulder and pushing us into an abyss.

I don’t know how our nation can get free of this Left/Right paradigm that is a good cop/bad cop ploy to keep everyone muddled. But I will free myself for a small start. I just hope that one day this evil spell over America ends and we return to our first principles that formed us.

  3. You’re so right, LH. I’m anti war. (I mean, anti any more US led intervention anywhere.)
Not a conservative anymore just a believer in the Bible and Jesus.
People want you to be ‘on their side’.

We have to choose God’s side.

  4. Brilliant analysis Leo. The “TIS’ you’ve coined (as opposed to TDS) with no in-between, is unpleasantly reminiscent of the 9/11 years, and Bush II’s declaration, “You’re either with us, or with the terrorists”.

  5. I have to say, that it is a different time in history…It is either the US, or our enemies that will occupy these countries…..I prefer the US….I have been involved with conservative groups for at least 16 years, and have seen no major changes..Our constitution hasn’t been followed for years….The absolute disregard, for biblical understanding, is out the window…Life, is good, I’m too busy to bother!…Most people, even in these groups, don’t understand what is going on..This is a spiritual battle we are in, and it is God that is directing this.

I know how this ends, and we are very close…Praying for our country..And for the unsaved…Maranatha!
