Why are European globalist elites hyperventilating about Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine?

INTRO: NATO’s super-expensive proxy war against Russia has finally run its course, ending in complete and utter failure. Instead of being weakened, Russia is stronger now than when the war started three years ago. This disastrous outcome exposes the insanity of European elites and may result in the obliteration of post-World War II norms in which the U.S. pays for, and if necessary fights, Europe’s wars.

European globalist elites are screeching like crazed hyenas over being left out of President Trump’s peace talks seeking an end to the bloody Russia-Ukraine border war.

They are so distraught over the prospect that this 3-year-old extremely costly war could be winding down, without their permission, that they’ve called an “emergency meeting” in Paris this week to discuss how they can keep the war going in the absence of further U.S. participation in the killing.

Despite all of the financial and military assistance from the West, Ukraine has not been able to defeat Russia. And let’s be frank, it never will. This is not just my opinion but the opinion of the few honest military men who still exist on the European continent who haven’t drunk from the vile, blood-stained cup of perpetual war-making.

Take, for example, the former chairman of the NATO military committee, Harald Kujat.

The retired German Air Force general surmised that after three years of conflict, the Ukrainian army lies in ruins, despite the billions invested in it, the weapons supplied, the training of personnel and the unprecedented assistance from the West. The U.S. alone has invested some $200 billion in the failed effort to deal Russia a black eye via the Ukrainian proxy.

General Kujat emphasized that Zelensky failed to take advantage of the opportunity that presented itself, and he will not have another chance. But really, it was the U.S. and Europe who failed in the war, not Ukraine, which was never Russia’s equal on the battlefield and never will be.

The German general believes the continuation of military action with the aim of “finishing off Russia” as proposed by some delusional Western politicians who still clamor for Russia’s defeat, will only lead to an even greater humiliation for Ukraine.

Kujat was quoted by European media as saying:

“It is time for our politicians and media to take note of the bitter truth that for three years, despite enormous financial and material support from the U.S. and European allies, as well as training and modern weapons systems, Ukraine has not been able to achieve military success. And that such a possibility, if it ever existed, no longer exists.”

The Russian online journal, Military Review, stated:

“For our part, we note that there is a group of countries in Europe that want Russia to be defeated. It is headed, as you might guess, by Great Britain and France. There is also a bunch of countries yapping along, but of a lower status. The most important question now is whether they will dare to go against the USA.”

That, of course, was a reference to the new American administration of Donald J. Trump, who campaigned on a promise to end the war in Ukraine and seems to have stepped up his efforts in recent days to do exactly that.

But now the war-mongering Europeans are barking about wanting a seat at the table to negotiate the terms of peace between Russia and Ukraine. Trump seems to sense that allowing the Europeans in on these peace talks would enable them to throw down deal-breakers at every opportunity, for London and Paris really don’t want peace with Russia. They want an extension of the war for as long as it takes to ramp up their own forces to invade what they hope will be a weakened Russia.

Why should they get any say in the peace process when they have expressed zero interest in peace until now, when Trump comes into the picture demanding it?

London, Paris, and to a lesser extent Berlin, want a say in how the terms of peace will be drawn between Russia and Ukraine. These countries want equal footing with the U.S. but they want the U.S. to foot the majority of their defense bills.

In short, they want to use U.S. military power for their own geo-political advantage while shouldering only a fraction of the financial burden.

With the ascension of the Trump administration, that day is over. Even Ukrainian President Zelensky is prodding the Europeans to step up and put their money where their mouth is.

Addressing the Munich conference, Zelensky called for the creation of a new “Army of Europe” amid rising concern that Washington may no longer be willing to play the fool.

Zelensky stated: “We can’t rule out the possibility that America might say no to Europe on issues that threaten it.”

The Ukraine leader said per the AP that “three years of full-scale war have proven that we already have the foundation for a united European military force. And now, as we fight this war and lay the groundwork for peace and security, we must build the armed forces of Europe.”

Good luck. I say go for it.

Zelensky claimed that such an army would not represent “replacing” the NATO alliance but it’s rather “about making Europe’s contribution to our partnership equal to America’s.”

He added that:

“A few days ago, President Trump told me about his conversation with Putin. Not once did he mention that America needs Europe at the table. That says a lot. The old days are over when America supported Europe just because it always had.”

Of course, we all knew this day would come, when Europe seeks to raise its own continent-wide army. French President Emmanuel Macron has called for that for years. Maybe the time is finally ripe for such a move. Why should the U.S. shoulder the burden for Europe’s defense?

And here’s the bigger question: What if Europe isn’t looking for “defense,” but rather something more akin to an aggressive “offense?”

Europe is filled with wealthy countries. They need to man up. And when they do start to foot their own defense bill, their taxpayers will likely realize that their politicians have been lying to them. Russia is not interested in taking them over. Russia just wants to be respected as the sovereign nation and global superpower that it is and will no longer be bullied by the West, dictated to in terms of where and how much of its own natural resources it can sell on the global market and at what price.

Russia wants open markets for its oil and gas and other resources. It does not want the responsibility of governing European countries.

Throughout its history, whenever Russia experimented with imperialism, it did not turn out well for them. Putin understands this. Besides, he has been in office for 24 years and has not once tried to storm his troops into any NATO country. The entire basis for the Western European case against Putin lies in his intolerance of Ukraine joining the NATO alliance.

Having a militarized Ukraine on Russia’s border has always been unacceptable in Moscow’s eyes, and the West knows it. Characterizing him as a military threat to Poland, the Baltics, and Western Europe seems irrational at best, fear-mongering propaganda at worst.

And if Europe is so intent on stirring up fear among its people of the Russian bear, you have to wonder if maybe it’s Europe that would like to make war against the bear, rather than the other way around.

Perhaps that’s what this European Army is really all about. Not defense, but offense.

Whatever the purpose, the cost of building up a capable European army would bring an end to many of the social programs, early retirements and cushy work schedules so many Europeans have grown accustomed to, and see as part of their birthright.

If President Trump plays his cards right, he’ll call the Europeans’ bluff and let’s see where they take this idea of a European Army.

  1. Europeans sat aghast after Vice-President J.D. Vance dared to suggest that their socialist democracies have become illiberal, intolerant, authoritarian—and on the wrong side of global populism.”

    – Victor Davis Hanson

European leaders’ intolerance assumed its most lethal form in a hideously twisted ideology that wiped out six million Jews. Now they’ve welcomed in a barbaric ideology that also targets the same people for annihilation. Islamic persecution in Europe is making it dangerous again to be a Jew. And antisemitic cesspools like the ICC and ICJ target Israel, the only Jewish state on the face of the earth. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, because Jews have been the world’s favorite scapegoat for millennia.

So it’s a breath of fresh air, then, to see Christians unite to support the people of our Lord and their nation. On February 27, 2025, the American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI) submitted to President Trump a historic resolution reaffirming the Jewish people’s right to the Biblical Heartland of Israel—Judea and Samaria.

As ACLI Director Susan Michael states in the letter containing the resolution, they are a “network, encompassing over 3,000 Christian pastors and organizational leaders from across the nation, including the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).” The 200 signatories to the resolution included some well-known and respected Christian leaders such as the following:

    • Michele Bachmann Dean, Robertson School of Government Regent University
    • Dr. James C. Dobson Founder and Chairman Dr. James Dobson Family Institute
    • Gordon Robertson President and CEO Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN)
    • Joel Rosenberg Editor-in-Chief All Israel News
    • Samuel Rodriguez President and CEO, NHCLC Lead Pastor, New Season
    • Rosemary Schindler Garlow Vice President Well Versed, Inc.

    1. Someone clever with AI can produce anything and post it anywhere to make someone look bad. That might have happened here, but it is reported that Trump posted this on Truth Social without comment. If so, this is disgusting. Land theft at its most egregious.

Nobody is safe in this world when some rapacious group decides that the original residents can be brutally kicked out of their homes, and carpet bombed if they don’t move out fast enough. We did that to our natives across the whole continent; hardly any tribe lives on its original land or are allowed to use their lands to their own benefit. Today even white Americans can get that same nasty treatment when some corporation decides to abuse eminent domain laws for their own profit, paying below market prices for those homes or having the local government condemn the homes. It’s the same game that’s been played for 500 years in this hemisphere.

Israel is extremely keen to destroy the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and steal their land. They won’t stop there—already they are taking over parts of Lebanon and Syria. Jordan is their target, too. Lots of natives in all those areas to be kicked out. Maybe Trump will build reservations for them– like the ones in the US designed to keep our natives poor and in submission.

  2. Victor Davis Hanson has some brilliant insights into these European elites in an article he wrote for the David Horowitz website, Front Page Magazine:

Snarky Europeans Scowl at Truth-Teller Vance

Meet the addicts who know their habit is killing them – but who can’t resist another fix.

It’s worth quoting in its entirety:

“Europeans sat aghast after Vice-President J.D. Vance dared to suggest that their socialist democracies have become illiberal, intolerant, authoritarian—and on the wrong side of global populism.

Like some addict that knows his habit is killing him, and yet who cannot resist another fix, so the Euros war on fossil fuels and hollow out their middle classes.

They keep borders open to massive, illiberal illegal immigration. Yet they know the result bankrupts social services, spikes crime, and turns “diversity” into dangerous ethnic and religious chauvinism and contempt for generous host countries.

The recent Euro Ministers in Vance’s audience both publicly and to their leftwing monopolistic media complained bitterly about the American’s “interference” in their internal affairs.

How odd!—given this comes from Europe and the UK that saw ads for British Laborites to fly to America to interfere in our recent American elections, and lying British subject Christoper Steele’s pathetic dossier that sought to warp the 2016 election and subvert the ensuing Trump presidency.

In 2016 the Ukraine sought to interfere in the U.S. election and its ambassador wrote a pro-Hillary Clinton op-ed opposing Trump.

Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss routinely bankrolls leftist U.S. candidates and causes—as the E.U. targets U.S. tech companies to censor any content they find antithetical to their leftist agendas.

Similar to the hysterical, out-of-power and impotent Democrat counterparts here at home, the Euros’ strategy of regaining global influence and power is not to become introspective, self-critical and open to reform.

They prefer instead to scream, stonewall, and threaten—in hopes of damaging what they feel is the malign influence of the Trump colossus.

Yet the more outraged at critics, at home and abroad, the European ruling elite becomes, the more the European Union’s wealth, authority, and power decline on the world stage.

And rather than open up their societies and economies, while closing their borders to illegal immigrants, the embittered EU apparat can only gnash it teeth at the U.S. in general. And in particular it rages at the Trump administration that offers it reality bites after experiencing and then terminating the disastrous Biden four-year European mimicry.

Still, Europe should heed Vance’s constructive criticism—or, alternatively, look carefully at its present relationship with the U.S.

The more the European Union grew (from its 1997 six-member union to the current twenty-seven members), the more, paradoxically, its aggregate GDP fell behind that of the U.S.—which now has 1.5 times the European gross domestic product.

Europe is committing slow-motion energy suicide, mostly led by Germany (Vance’s most severe critic).
Germany’s energy is about four times as costly as the U.S. average.

Its foreign-born are now 16 percent of the population (greater even than the U.S. record high). And its calcified fertility rate hovers under 1.5.

Eleven years after NATO members promised to spend 2 percent of their respective GDP on defense, nine of NATO’s thirty-two nations still balk—despite the 3-year horrific Ukrainian war on Europe’s border and the prior four-year haranguing from Donald Trump.

Germany still leads the holdouts. It spends only 1.5 percent of it GDP, which has essentially been either negative or flat the last two years.

Because of the Europe elite’s growing rejection of horizontal drilling, fracking, and offshore drilling (their prior mantra was to let the Russians do such dirty business in Russia, and then sell Europe the gas and oil cheaply), the EU will now become increasingly dependent on U.S. and Middle-East imported natural gas.

Or it will have to repair Ukraine’s destruction of the Nord Stream II pipeline, and resume business with their hated energy benefactor Vladimir Putin.

The EU’s increasingly asymmetrical and protectionist tariffs result in a $235 billion annual trade surplus with the U.S.—inching up to China’s $295 billion.

Add it all up. And one would think that the EU ministers would welcome polite criticism.

Instead, their contempt for the U.S. is unwise—given they still won’t meet their NATO obligations.

They depend for their security on the U.S. military.

They run massive trade deficits with the U.S. due to one-sided tariffs. They need American energy. They are shrinking in population, inert in economic growth.

But they will find no cure by increasingly and loudly expressing their bitter anti-Americanism under the convenient fig leaf of hating Trump.”

    1. Another master wordsmith Daniel Greenfield wrote an electrifying article for Front Page on leftist elites in America before the November elections. It’s worth quoting here because it makes a beautiful companion piece to Victor Davis Hanson’s story on European elites. Both men give us an inside look at the delusional, destructive mindset of the left.

Fear and Loathing on the Left

Destruction is all they really care about.

“Win or lose, fans of the Philly Eagles go out into the street and smash things. Whoever wins on Election Day, leftists will smash things. The election only determines whether they smash up the country from the inside or the outside. Forget all the theory and all the empty policy promises.

It’s not about equity, democracy, free college, funding terrorists, defunding the police, breaking the glass ceiling, or any of the other suits the naked emperors and empresses wear. When the champagne corks and pills have been popped, the desire underneath is to destroy it all.

Mediocre elites created leftism by sublimating their narcissistic drive to destroy everything superior to them into the revolutionary politics of a purported underclass. But the elites are the oppressed underclass they’ve been waiting for. They fight for their own right to seize power.

And they don’t stop fighting once they get it.

Stop by a leftist rally and you’ll rarely find anyone who ever worked for a living or intends to. The Biden-Harris admin was hobbled by the sheer inability of anyone involved in it to understand kitchen table economics as anything other than a longread thinkpiece about shrinkflation.

Leftists care as much about the working class as you do about the plight of the Tibetans. Probably less. Workers, women, coal miners, the unemployed on bread lines, Gazans, gays, lesbians, transgenders and every letter in the endless LGBTQ alphabet have never been anything other than excuses for smashing things. They’re the wife, girlfriend, uncle or nephew that our hero loses in the first act to justify his bloody rampages in the next two acts.

American leftists are still Americans. And they need to believe they’re the good guys. Unlike Bolsheviks, Maoists and ISIS, they need a bigger buildup to their hero’s journey. They need JFK and MLK to take a bullet, they need Vietnam, Kent State, AIDS, Reaganomics, impeachment, hanging chads and the Iraq War to tell a story to themselves about why they turned to violence.

Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Trump and capitalism killed their idealism in the first act. Now they have permission to plant bombs at dances for service members, rob Brink’s trucks, and riot and burn. But they’re not doing it for themselves, oh no, but for all the oppressed workers and peasants, kids laboring in factories, soldiers on the front lines and trans kids who need puberty blockers.

“It’s just this war and that lying son of a bitch, Johnson!” is a short history of leftist activism.

Working backwards, they claim that Muslim terrorists kill kids because they’ve been so wronged. It’s an alibi that tells us more about leftists than about whatever politically aligned horror show they’re trying to excuse this week. No matter what comic books and Mother Jones will tell you, oppression doesn’t make good people turn evil. Evil people blame their crimes on oppression.

The Nazis believed they were oppressed. The Communists believed they were oppressed. ISIS Jihadists raping children and beheading non-Muslims believed they were the real victims.

Scratch a member of the professionally oppressed and you find a monster working on the backstory for the crimes he intends to commit as soon as he finds a gun or a movement.

Amateur victims become school shooters, filling their diaries with tales of being bullied so they can build up the verve to shoot a bunch of little kids cowering in front of their blue lockers. Professional victims become activists and community organizers so they can do the same thing. They just have a longer wait time which they fill with self-care and race riots before the killing.

Leftist politics is a permission structure for evil. Its activism on the outside and its policies on the inside are designed to destroy everything under the guise of saving it. Tepid leftism ushers in decline, outsourcing the actual destruction to the hordes of invading enemy migrants, while committed leftism leads to gulags, mass famines and Asian museums filled with skulls.

Destruction is the conscious theme of the truly committed leftist and the subconscious impulse of the tepid leftist. Any leftist not driven by a conscious or subconscious urge to destroy will sooner or later fall out of the movement. Those who go on reciting the mantras are either cowards or terrorists. And the cowards are those who want someone else to do the killing.

Working from outside the system, leftists lie, subvert, incite, riot, burn and bomb. Working from the inside, they build massive political machines whose purpose is to wreck everything. The carnage is not ‘creative destruction” and it’s not an unintended consequence of a noble idealistic dream of a better country and an equal society, but the entire point of the whole project.

The Left does not have a plan for a better world, but for destroying the world. Its theories are sucker bait, its issues are recruitment fodder for fifth columns and their implementation serves no purpose except to seize money and power while ruining everything and fueling outrage.

Outrage, more nakedly rage, is the dark beating heart of the beast. Everything else is ad copy. Rage is the morals, ethics, ideology, father and mother of the movement. Rage is the currency which it trades in for more rage. “If you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attention”, its bumper stickers scream, and once you start paying attention, the rage never ends.

Leftists are indoctrinated in outrage, radicalized into rage and ricochet from outrage to outrage to rage against. No matter how old and bourgeois they get, rage keeps them feeling like young rebels, and they hunt and peck between New York TimesWashington Post and Rolling Stone screeds revealing the exciting new outrage that requires innovative new abuses of power.

Robbed of rage, leftists are reduced to a planetary HR department given free reign to ban everything and fail ever upward even as their fiefdoms descend into extremes of misery. In triumph, the mediocre elites expose their mediocrity for all to see. That’s why they can’t stop the rage for even one moment lest everyone see that underneath the virtue signaling uniforms and jackboots is a Biden or Brezhnev incapable of running anything including their bodily functions.

And that is the reckoning that the mediocre elites have been running away from all their lives.

Leftists must destroy because they cannot create. Inside their heads is a little lurking voice telling them how worthless they are every second of the day. Imagine if Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Fidel Castro or AOC had been forced to get actual jobs outside political leftism?

What do objectively worthless narcissists convinced of their own genius do with their lives?

They become commandantes, chairmen, congressmen and other things beginning with ‘C’. Being a revolutionary, an activist or a professional troublemaker requires a very different set of skills than actually working for a living and is a perfect fit for egomaniacs furious at every perceived slight with a knack for getting other people to die for their delusions of grandeur.

Add on a slick patina of ‘theory’ of fantasy economics and academic conspiracy theories and you have the movement that has spent the past two centuries trying to destroy the world.

Whatever happens on this Election Day or in any election, the Left is waiting to destroy it all.”

There is no value, meaning, or purpose in the destruction wrought by these leftist elites. The more power they get the greater the impulse to drive their countries and their people off the cliff.

If only they would recognize and embrace their existential nihilism, and then just throw themselves off the cliff.

  3. I’ve always held the view that Putin is a ‘globalist’ and therefore his politics are ultimately determined by the ‘globalist’ agenda. The common view is that Putin needed his resources for the war in Ukraine and this is true to a certain extent. But what I’ve noticed in Syria is how both the Russian and the Syrian armies were stood down so suddenly and at the same time. This was co-ordinated, in my opinion.

The Syrian forces had up to 300,000 soldiers

“At the time of the collapse of the Syrian regime, the Syrian government forces vastly outnumbered the rebel forces. The Syrian army, along with its allied militias and foreign fighters, had around 300,000 soldiers. In contrast, the rebel forces, including various opposition groups and Islamist factions, had approximately 70,000 to 80,000 fighters at their peak.”

I remember a Syrian soldier complaining about being stood down with no leadership to oppose the rebel incursion.

This is similar to the invasion of Israel where the Israeli military were stood down and Hamas were allowed to invade Israel unopposed.

Assad had been preparing for moving his family to Russia, long before the collapse. I believe he was being compliant with the agenda

“The Assad family had been preparing for their move to Russia by acquiring a significant property portfolio there. Reports indicate that they own at least 20 luxury apartments in Moscow, with a combined value exceeding $30 million. These properties are located in some of the city’s most prestigious areas, including the City of Capitals skyscraper complex”

I believe that all of what is happening world wide is being choreographed by the ‘globalists’.

I predicted that America would leave NATO and this seems to be happening. European politicians have been calling for an increase in spending on their military. They must have known that America would change it’s stance towards Russia.

The war against Ukraine would not have been necessary if Ukraine had stuck to the Minsk agreement.

There is so much happening but what is alarming is the pace at which events are unfolding, now. It’s like a switch has been turned on and it’s all systems go.

I believe that it was inevitable that Trump would take the presidency. The democrats and their liberal agenda became intolerable even to the ‘liberals’ . It seemed that the democrats were intent on losing the support of the people.

“Maybe they wanted all those military-aged illegal aliens here to fill the gap. Many do join our military as a road to citizenship.

    I agree with you.

With regard to getting people to join the military, I reckon that there are plans in place. The immigrant population are healthy, as you have said and I believe that Kennedy will want it to stay that way and then some tweaks to the diet of American citizens should make many of them ready and able for military service. etc.

But also Trump’s raving patriots are like putty in his hands not to mention the crazed Christian Zionists. I believe that Trump has a large pool to draw from.

Just like Hitler , Trump has the ability to nullify the critical thinking of vast numbers of people. He’s already done it with the roll out of the Covid vaccine.

I predict that 2025 will see American soldiers go to war in Gaza and Iran.

I notice that the pope is not well and I believe that 2025 will see a new pope being elected.

I believe that the stage is being set for, guess who! 🦹💀

    1. Unibokk—here we differ on some points. Time will reveal what the truth really is, despite our speculations. I think Putin, in his younger years, wanted to be a part of the globalist club as he was very pro-Western. Globalism is a western construct. But it soon became clear to the Russians that the West had other plans for Russia, which entailed breaking it apart and essentially destroying or corrupting all its unifying elements (especially the Russian Orthodox church). Putin was rebuffed by the West from joining their club, especially NATO, and by 2022, it seemed the Ukraine situation began to convince him that the West could not be trusted (Merkel admitted the Minsk accords were meant as a deceit, which angered the Russians). Nor would the West talk to Russia, and that it was openly committed to its dissolution. With this, Putin has become the Russian he is. So it’s Russia first, an attitude decidedly non-globalist. I thought it significant that last year Putin publically honored his older brother (who starved to death during the siege of Leningrad) with a special ceremony. Russia fought for its life against the West during that war, and that deeply affected Russia to this day. That ceremony openly demonstrated Putin’s personal commitment to Russia’s history of survival. Of course, this is my observation and thoughts about it FWIW.

I’ve already stated my take on the Russia/Syria situation. It would be good to know from the Syrian military leadership why they stood down, who gave the order.

As I outlined in my previous response to you, I think Trump and the EU would have a very difficult time building a new army for the reasons I gave. Gearing up for a major or regional war would be very difficult now on many levels. I think the US lacks the capacity for it anymore, nor would there be public support for it. Even fanatic Trump supporters are far more interested in Trump going to war with our deep state bureaucracy and much less keen on yet another deep state foreign war. Your average Christian Zionist (who is middle-aged or older) is essentially an arm chair warrior—if any of them crave war with the Arab world, let them join the IDF. (But they expect to get conveniently raptured out —so much for genuine commitment to fight the battle of Armeggedon!!) Too bad some of them have positions of power in our government where they can do a lot of damage to world peace.

However, it’s been reported from numerous sources that Trump plans to send Israel the MOAB (the Mother of All Bombs) to use against Iran or even Gaza. Some say he MAY have changed his mind on this, but we’ll see. This bomb has the destructive force of nukes without the radiation. We used it in Afghanistan. It’s criminal to send Israel those 2000 lb bunker buster bombs, but to send them this monster is far, far worse, and Israel cannot be trusted with it.

Our younger folks are very focused on staying employed and solvent (difficult in this inflationary environment). Many young men are pro-Russian, and quite a few are not fooled by military ads to recruit them. For instance, 10 years ago my nephew told me that he’s not interested in joining the military because our military doesn’t fight to win, that our wars are pointless, we just kill a lot of natives. He said all his friends feel the same way. So if we go to war with Iran, it will be only with the army we have at present, with all of its deficiencies. Just like it was with the Iraq war. Probably the US would do what it usually does—bomb the hell of whomever—but no boots on the ground. I doubt if any of our leaders would risk drafting any men for the next conflict. Those who were Alpha warrior types had shipped out as mercenaries to Ukraine at the onset of that war—most are dead now, and I haven’t heard whether any more “warriors” are rushing to take their place. Maybe a lesson was learned.

Hello Kayjae it looks like the narrative is being set for an attack on Iran.

The Jerusalem Post has reported a ‘terrorist attack’ in Israel

Iran believed to be behind central Israel bus bombings, initial security assessment finds

Several buses exploded in various locations across central Israel on Thursday evening in a planned mass terror bombing attempt.”

The article goes on to blame Iran and Hamas operating from the West Bank. This is happening just before Donald Trump is due to give an anticipated statement on the West Bank.

The Christian Zionists are very determined that the West Bank should be annexed by Israel

Here’s an article from the ‘Jerusalem Post’ where they have formed a pressure group in support of the settlers in the West Bank.

Christian leaders set to unveil West Bank resolution at Dallas event

American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI) has announced a press conference at the upcoming National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) International Christian Media Convention in Dallas, Texas.

The event will unveil a resolution reaffirming what the drafters believe to be the Jewish people’s right to what the document calls the biblical heartland of Israel—referred to in the resolution as “Judea and Samaria” but known internationally as the West Bank.

The resolution, which will be signed by over 3,000 Christian pastors and organizational leaders from across the United States, is intended to be delivered to President Donald Trump in advance of his anticipated statement on the West Bank, expected within the next four weeks. ACLI and NRB, which support “biblical truth” and Israeli sovereignty, view the resolution as a means to bolster Christian backing for Israel amid ongoing debates over control of the territory.

“As organizations that advocate for biblical truth and steadfastly support Israel and the Jewish people, the ACLI and the NRB are taking a stand on this crucial issue in support of Israel’s sovereignty over its biblical heartland,” said Troy A. Miller, president and CEO of NRB.

He added that the group is renewing its efforts “to strengthen Christian support for Israel and combat antisemitism worldwide.”

There is a photo in this article which shows students attending last week’s rally in Washington to show their support for Israel. Hundreds of students attended this rally.

If this had been students supporting Palestine then I suspect that the riot squad would have been called in to disperse the ‘anti Semitic’ crowd.

Trump will seize this opportunity to push the Zionist , West Bank agenda.

I believe that people can be hyped up and no better man to do it than Hitl…. err! , oops! I mean, Donald Trump. 😒

I think we agree that Israel is intent on establishing a ‘greater Israel’ which includes West Bank, Gaza Strip, and parts of Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. I believe that in order to achieve this and maintain control , the Israelis will require more manpower and I believe that the good ol’ USA will provide that manpower.

Then there is the conquest of Greenland. Will it become a military conquest.

Our younger folks are very focused on staying employed and solvent

I believe this is generally true but I’m seeing Trump as a Hitler type figure who I believe will call for conscription as he seeks to expand the USA’s power and his own ego, in the world .

Hitler had a dream of a ‘Golden Age’ for Germany so it’s no surprise that Trump keeps mentioning America’s golden age.

Adolf Hitler ” promised a “golden age” for Germany. He used propaganda to portray his regime as the saviour of Germany, promising economic recovery, national rejuvenation, and a return to greatness. This was part of his broader strategy to gain support and consolidate power. “

But ultimately Hitler brought Germany to it’s knees and as we know millions of lives were lost. Hitler was a ‘narcissist who’s illness got worse as he exercised power over others.

Ultimately I see Trump as the complete narcissist who is also mentally ill as was Hitler and who’s ego will prevail over common sense and will lead to him making very bad decisions.

In the short term Trump is being seen by many as solving America’s problems but in the long term I believe that Trump will ruin America.

“A person with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) typically exhibits traits such as a grandiose sense of self-importance, a need for excessive admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. “

In extreme cases, a narcissist might derive some satisfaction from the suffering of others if it reinforces their own sense of superiority.

“Being in a position of leadership can indeed have an impact on individuals with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Leadership roles often come with increased power, admiration, and control, which can reinforce narcissistic behaviors and traits. This can lead to a worsening of the illness, as the individual may become more entrenched in their need for validation and dominance.”

I believe that Trump is on a dangerous ‘high’ and that America is headed for big trouble.

So, those are just my opinions.

I’ve said before that I will be viewing Trump’s actions in the light of Hitler’s actions. So, far I’m seeing a very similar modes operandum albeit with different players and different enemies.

If anybody wants to understand Trump and where he’ll take America then I suggest that they study Hitler and the downfall of Germany.

      2. Hello Anthony. Thank you for sharing your well-written opinions. I agree Trump exhibits traits of classic narcissism, but I honestly think the comparison to Hitler is a stretch. Trump doesn’t seem to enjoy killing or seeing people killed en mass. At least, I hope, I am right about that and you turn out to be wrong. God bless.

      3. Unibokk–I agree with Leo—it’s a stretch to call Trump another Hitler, ( I don’t think he has the charisma or the speaking ability of Hitler or Goebbels). But on the other hand, he knows how to tweak the masses on their concerns, considered by the ruling elites to be surface issues. The Power elites may grant the public some relief from the woke madness. Trump and Elon even talk about reimbursing us $5000 (a pittance) for the fraud discovered in the federal bureaucracy, a small bribe to thrill Trump devotees. But the extremely costly projects that has fleeced America for 100 years may remain untouched– as in who runs our financial and monetary system, who determines foreign and domestic policy—all that remains securely in hidden hands. Our entire democratic government has been superceded by something dark, complex and mostly hidden. It would take a very major and violent revolution (like the French Revolution) to dislodge that class of criminals. Things are not desperate enough for that. I hope that Trump actually will take apart the waste, but I’m not sure how much of this is theatre.

The hidden “security state” of the US government–is shot through with fascism/Nazim. We imported high ranked Nazis into our intelligence services after WWII. Certain of the elites (like the Bush family) gave substantial financial support to the Nazi regime. Much of political ideology was re-packaged and put in the service of Cold War anti-communism, whereby we toppled many liberal or leftist regimes, Seems like when the Soviet Union fell, the communist boogey-man disappeared to be replaced overnight with the jihadi threat (entirely of our own making). All this game-playing is to keep the security state running, because the more it runs, the more powers it gains over everyone, everywhere. Currently, Biden’s/Trump’s carte blanche to the Israelis to impose a Nazi-like “Final Solution” upon the Palestinians is certainly running one of those games, eventually to depopulate the Middle East from the Nile to the Euphrates for proxy Greater Israel. Once that project is completed, I’m sure another somewhere else is already being planned.

As for Trump’s narcissism—probably true to some extent. The billionaire class he belongs to generally are narcissists, with little empathy for common people and even less for those overseas, viewed only as geopolitical chess pieces. Trump does have personal and political connections to totally amoral characters, but then nearly ALL the top political players of his class do. We haven’t had genuine intellects, decent and reputable people in the top layers of government for decades, just criminals or those compromised by criminals. A far cry what our Founding Fathers were like.

Our “rulers” are lawless, which is why American hegemony is often termed as “exceptional”. Actual meaning: An exception to any law (and not in reference to our supposed God-predestined superiority). Which is why Trump will assist forced displacement of the Palestinians in violation of international law and the Geneva Convention of 1948. Neither the US nor Israel abides by international law. In addition, the US has rendered the UN and ICJ toothless to deal with genocide and forced expulsion, protecting itself and Israel from any accountability before the law.

It is very horrible that 3000 so-called pastors have signed on to be a part of this extreme lawlessness. They ought to be deposed as pastors for their heretical fanaticism, hypocrisy and bloody-mindedness. Maybe they should be forced to go to Gaza or the West Bank and watch the many murders against those people that occur daily. Give them a front seat to watch the Final Solution. Wonder how many will actually cheer it on and which ones might get shocked enough to recover their conscience and their soul. Such is the low state of Christianity here.

        Hello Leo,

What about Trump’s total support of Israel’s actions in the Middle East where many thousands are being slaughtered? Trump endorsed Israel’s actions by saying such things as “get the job done”

He has removed the mechanisms which were put in place to restrain the violence of Jewish settlers in the West Bank. And now rumour has it that he will also allow the supply of ‘The “Mother of All Bombs” to Israel.

America has a history of making war in the name of peace and pretending that they are the good guys. Trump’s government is no different.

But Trump is only getting started. We have to think of him as a man who’s mentally ill.

When I look at Trump, I see a man who is getting more and more drunk on power to the point that he is becoming reckless . So, I see him falling into the sane type of trap that Hitler did.

Did you see his post where he depicts himself as a monarch. This is not just some throwaway joke on his part. I believe it is how he sees himself. As I pointed out in my previous comment, narcissism can worsen when the narcissist holds a position of power because narcissism often feeds off such power and the narcissist gets caught in a state of delusion.

Trump is already a rich man. He doesn’t take a salary. Instead he donates his salary to various causes etc. So, why does he want the presidency so badly. I believe it’s because he has a desperate need to feel more powerful.

In my opinion there is no greater power than the power over people’s lives. He demonstrated his love for such power in a small way when he did his TV programme ‘The apprentice’

I believe that Trump will ultimately become so consumed with power that he will be ecstatic at the thought of sending young American men to die on the battlefield.

These are my observations based on the belief that Trump is descending into a worsening state of narcosis. We need to remember that Trump is only one month into his presidency.

He was inaugurated for his second term on January 20, 2025. So, he has almost four years to go.

      5. We will definitely be watching him closely. He uses reckless rhetoric for sure, although some say that’s more for posturing than to be taken as an indicator of future action. Thus far, most of the killing in Gaza took place under the Biden regime.

  4. There’s that phrase again that keeps showing up over there “peace & safety”.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 KJV — For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

  5. A European army to put bad old Russia in its place? Well, good luck with that. Europe is not ready or willing to put up their share of an EU army – they won’t even pay their fair share of NATO. NATO should just be abandoned – like many current problems, it was once a solution but that time and situation is long over and so should be NATO. Russia may indeed have suffered many casualties but due to China and their friend in North Korea, Russia still has pretty deep pockets. Ukraine needs to cut a deal and try to recover some semblance of a country and a population while they still can.

The idea that Ukrainians have even the most remote chance of defeating Russia is ludicrous, similar to the belief in the American southern states that their agricultural states could possibly defeat the wealthy industrial North whose pockets were also very deep and who controlled the economies of many allies Simply because they were fighting for their homes and “way of Life” (which by the way was immoral, racist, and already on its way out due to the cotton gin invention), they could never overcome their obvious lack of preparedness. I feel badly for the Ukrainian people, but that horse is dead and it’s time to get off it.

  6. Spot on, Leo! Everything you said. Spot on!!!

I hope Trump finally ends US involvement in this war and pulls out of NATO. Withdraw our troops from Europe and put them on our own borders.

Britain has been leading the charge on this war against Russia all along. I’ve heard there is a lot of anti-Russian feeling there among the people, much more than here. It was their clown Boris Johnson who sabotaged the peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia in March 2022, and sabotaged several others since. The British in particular have been obsessed with defeating Russia and keeping its influence out of the Middle East and Central Asia since the 1840s (the Great Game). They fought the Crimean War directly with them in the 1850s. When the Russian Empire fell to the Bolsheviks, a small force of British and Americans invaded at Archangel for objectives that not even they could figure out. Typical.

Well, let today’s tiny British army and the almost useless French and German armies take over the fight. Last year Macron blathered about drafting men to send to Ukraine; that seemed to go nowhere. I’m sure no one in Europe wants to be drafted for WWIII. Let’s see—it took almost 4 million German soldiers to invade Russia in 1941 and what did it get them? The EU can draft that many to attempt the same? If it were seriously attempted, likely we’d see European masses in the street protesting, maybe outright revolting. The EU elites better think this over twice.

But the Baltic countries lately are getting belligerent with Russia. Why7 Their populations are tiny—who is pushing them along to court deliberate hostility with a superpower neighbor?? Well, we know…the usual suspects.

    1. Trump is going to need his resources for a war with Iran, and not to mention the securing of Gaza etc., I believe the negotiations between America and Russia are a front for a deal which has already been done, i.e., America supports Russia in return for Russia not obstructing America’s agenda in the Middle East.

Look at how Russia conceded Syria. The American Israeli alliance now has an air corridor through Syria into Iran. And now with Hezbollah effectively nullified , Iran is very vulnerable to attack.

I watched a video of Robert Kennedy being sworn in, where he said “77% of our children cannot qualify for military service” . He was referencing a point that Trump had made.

I believe that Trump is gearing up for a sustained war in the middle east and he does not want a young population being exempted from military duty. So, Trump’s domestic tidy up is part of a greater agenda , in my opinion. I believe that he wants bodies to send to war.

It’s ironic when you think of how Trump dodged the military during the Vietnam war with the excuse that he had a bone spur problem in his heels. There have been claims that the podiatrist who diagnosed Trump’s spurs was actually a tenant of Trump’s father and that the diagnosis was a favour to Trump’s father. It makes me wonder.

      1. Certainly war with Iran and the complete elimination of all Palestinians from the region is on Trump’s agenda. And, as you said, he would need all his military resources for that. So, of course, the current meeting with Lavrov now is to begin to extricate ourselves from this tar-baby. Ukraine failed to topple Russia (an impossible task anyway), but maybe that wasn’t the main show. The main show is always the Middle East. After India, it was, and still is, the most coveted area to the British and the US is acting as if it is the moneybags and military muscle for the British empire, IMO.

I don’t believe Russia conceded Syria to make it easier for us to attack Iran. They’re not wanting to do us favors. They are an official military ally of Iran, too. Russia had plenty to deal with over Ukraine—maybe that’s why Ukraine was utilized by us. It was bait, a diversion and a way to weaken Russia. We had several war games in play simultaneously—using Ukraine to provoke war, and also attacking Syria through proxies. All going on in the same years 2014 to now. Because during the first Trump administration, Russia bombed our proxy ISIS and stopped their attacks on Syria/Iraq. But the US/Israel resurrected ISIS during the Ukraine war and Assad was effectively crippled by our occupation of its eastern provinces from being able to pay for its defense. Russia could no longer help.

The US is said to be way behind militarily. Our arsenal has been given away to Ukraine and Israel (our equipment proved inadequate in Ukraine), the number of military service people is quite low. Not to mention how outdated our military is (but that has never stopped our foolish military adventures), how precarious is our economy and no manufacturing base, either. It would take years to build all this back and Trump has only 4 years, if he makes it to the end of his term (he’s old and has many enemies). We don’t even have hypersonic missiles and the Iranians have those Our military drone tech is less sophisticated and far more expensive than the home-built Ukrainian ones. Pretty pathetic shape we seem to be in.

Our youth is very much out of shape in many ways, poorly educated, and many on drugs. No amount of RFK Jr’s health programs will really change that. (But it is revealing that RFK Jr should especially reference the 77% unfit for service.) Perhaps the only thing that will force youth into the military (without a draft) would be a major economic depression. That’s how the military gets most of its recruits today—most come from places where there are few jobs. If there were to be a draft today, our government would have to deal with the massive anti-war protests once common during the Vietnam era. But once the US dropped the draft and converted to an all-volunteer force in the mid-70s, anti-war protests effectively ended for the next 50 years, despite all our military adventures since. Very risky to re-introduce the draft. Maybe they wanted all those military-aged illegal aliens here to fill the gap. Many do join our military as a road to citizenship.

Yes—it is odd how those who escaped military service like Bush Jr. and Trump have turned out to be real warmongers.

    2. Hello Kayjae , what do you think of this?:

Trump provokes outrage with controversial AI video of how his Gaza ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ could look… complete with a golden statue of himself”

The statue reminds me of King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden statue which stood 90 foot tall.

King Nebuchadnezzar commanded the people, of nations, and languages to worship the golden statue.

So, I’m wondering, does this mean that Trump sees himself as a Nebuchadnezzar type figure?

This video would seem to indicate a worsening of Trump’s narcissism
