If you do your research you will notice that the day I posted my comment was the day when Israel hosted the Jerusalem gay pride parade. So, my comment was relevant.
I’m showing Christians that Israel does not have God’s blessing. It is in rebellion and should not be mistaken for a holy nation which has been restored by God.
Instead, it has been built on the blood of the innocent victims of the Shoʾah, a biblical Hebrew word meaning “catastrophe,”.

I’ve always maintained that God has a remnant in Israel. That remnant is, and will be evidenced by their acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Jesus said to the Jews :
“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
When Christ was crucified, God left the temple and subsequently the temple was destroyed as predicted by Christ in his Olivet discourse. That desolation will be compounded when the abomination of desolation is seen standing in the ‘holy place’
The attempt by Zionists to rebuild the temple and restore blood sacrifices is not blessed by God.

How can any Christian support a rejection of Christ’s ‘finished’ work in favour of a return to old testament sacrifices .

Judging by the comments of those who disagree with what you’re saying as well as those I’ve seen by others on some websites, there are people who believe that Israel has been rejected or replaced with the Church. That’s because they don’t understand the faithfulness of God.
Because of His love for the patriarchs and their descendants, and because He is always true to His word, He has not reneged on His promises to His people. When they disobeyed, He chastised them, but He has not cast them off. The return of the seed of Abraham and Sarah to Israel was not dependant upon the people’s obedience to God or their spiritual state but upon the faithfulness of God.
He has demonstrated that faithfulness by bringing them back after the Babylonian exile and once again from a 2000-year absence, as well as by giving them victories over their enemies in the wars and conflicts since May 14,1948. Concerning the latter, when you look at the sheer odds Israel was facing in the attacks by huge Arab nations, you really have to acknowledge that their victories were by the hand of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
It’s a good thing for us believers that He is faithful to His word and that He has not abandoned Israel even during periods of their unfaithfulness because most of the Church has certainly been “falling away” into apostasy (unfaithfulness), as prophesied. Matthew 24:10, 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Just some more thoughts, Hananiah. The scriptures I quoted in my comments to you (Amos 9-14, Romans 11:1-2, 28-29) are affirmed in Jeremiah 31, a beautiful chapter that showcases God’s faithfulness to His people and to His word. He is promising to bring them back into their land after exile and to establish a “new covenant” with them:
I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more” (verses 33-34).
Romans 11:26-27 reinforces that “all Israel will be saved” (born again) at some future time. Unfortunately, there are people who reject the Jewish state of Israel and claim that the Church replaces it. They will typically misquote scriptures to support their thesis. There is a very good article on the Jewish Voice website about this false doctrine: “What is the source of Replacement theology or Supersession?”

No form of government is perfect, and Zionism, like democracy has its flaws. People are people and those who are flesh and blood will make mistakes, so the leaders of Israel obviously don’t walk on water. One way to define Zionism is basically “a nationalist movement with the sole focus of re-establishing the ancient Jewish homeland of Israel to bring back her people.” I believe God used an imperfect system created by imperfect people to fulfill His word that He would restore the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to their land. This prophecy is about the Christian church which is the true spiritual Israel incorporating Jewish and gentile Christians who have come to faith in Jesus Christ as Messiah. It is mentioned in the letter to the Hebrews, i.e., Jewish Christians, as referring to the Christian church. This promise is fulfilled in Christ as stated in the passage below.

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

So, the Jewish Christians are being told that the passage in Jeremiah is fulfilled in Jesus Christ under the NEW covenant in Christ’s blood. Christ is the High Priest who ministers the new covenant for his people.
And if you read on to chapter 12 you will see the mention of the the heavenly Zion and heavenly Jerusalem which are in heaven. This is the Zion that awaits those who believe in Christ.
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

The Christian Jews are being told not to reject Jesus Christ and his NEW covenant. Some Jews in the early church were mistakenly turning back to old testament practises. They are warned in the letter against refusing Christ.
Christian Zionists are pushing a false agenda and are endorsing the reinstatement of old testament blood sacrifices which is a refusal of Jesus Christ and the NEW covenant.

unibokk’s comment is a classic example of the heretical doctrine known as Replacement Theology or Supercessionism, which essentially says that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. It distorts scriptures to imply that God’s covenant relationship with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has been null and void since Calvary. The proponents of this false belief make God out to be a liar, because His Word clearly says that His relationship with Israel/seed of Abraham is permanent:
For You have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever; and You, Lord, have become their God. (2 Samuel 7:24)
Forever means forever. Obviously, God’s covenant relationship with His chosen people does not depend upon their obedience or their current spiritual state. It depends upon His love for them and His faithfulness to His own Word. As Christians, we should be really grateful for this, because if He “dumps” Israel, then He should “dump” the Church, which is mostly in apostasy now. But He hasn’t abandoned Israel and He’s still sticking with us.
God gave many promises to His people in the covenants He made with them, the most important being that of a Redeemer: “in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 28:14). Because this promise extends to the Gentiles, all believers in Jesus, both Jews and Gentiles, are the spiritual seed of Abraham and therefore in that sense a “true spiritual Israel.” But that does not in any way negate the Jews as being the “forever” covenant people of God and His promises to them still stand.
This is visibly illustrated in the steady flow of Aliyah and the rebirth of Israel on May 14, 1948.

I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. (verses 1-2)
And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

For this is My covenant with them,

It’s pretty obvious that “all Israel” has not been saved as of today. Currently, there are several hundred thousand Messianic believers in Yeshua around the world. Just as there will only be a remnant of the world’s population left after the Tribulation, there will also be a remnant of Israel left and by that point they will recognize Jesus as Messiah. In that sense, “all Israel” will be saved.

I simply responded to the verses which you quoted. I showed that you misappropriated them to make it seem like they were intended only for the physical Israel when in fact they are meant for the church. I corrected your error and now your twisting again instead of acknowledging your error.
I don’t know much about ‘displacement’ theology because I only read the bible comparing scripture with scripture. The letter to the Hebrews i.e., Jewish Christians shows clearly that the verses which you quoted are for the church.
The view which I have expressed is inclusive because the church includes both Jewish and gentile Christians as explained in the letter to the Hebrews.
I don’t believe that the current Zionist Israeli government is of God. I believe it is Satanic and is preparing for the hosting of the ‘man of sin’.
Christians who support this Zionist government need to ask themselves some serious questions. The Zion which Christians should be focussed on is the heavenly Zion.

The books of Daniel and Revelation both talk about this figure (“little horn,” “prince who is to come,” “son of perdition,” “beast”), but Revelation also mentions a second beast who comes out of the earth who is frequently called “the false prophet” by prophecy teachers. He is given supernatural satanic powers to promote worship of the first beast who comes out of the sea.
Just curious – do you also think this false prophet will be Islamic?

That’s exactly right, Leo. Since I started reading your stories and commenting, I began noticing Anthony’s rabidly anti-Israel/pro-Islamic bias. At first, I thought he was just being antagonistic toward Netanyahu, Israel, or Zionism. But right after the Oct. 7th massacre, you ran four stories, and it was in the last one (“Up to 1 million Gaza refugees looking for new homes and U.S. is first to raise its hand”) that I discovered the root of Anthony’s anti-Zionist/anti-Israel statements. It was displayed in this comment of his:

Even if you are right and this was an event that somehow originated with the zionists, they sure didn’t have any problems finding Palestinians willing to sign up for the ghastly mission! This victim hope you assign to the Palestinians is way off base. Sure there are some whom I’m sure do not support the ideology of hate that defines Hamas, but Hamas does have the support of 70 percent of the Palestinian population according to the most reliable polls. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a bigger margin of support than what Netanyahu has among Israelis, but I don’t know that for a fact as I haven’t seen any recent polls from Israel since the war started.

I have condemned the Hamas atrocity on this site. I have also expressed my concern for the hostages who are being held in the tunnels with no daylight and no idea what is going to happen to them.
But I am trying introduce some balance into this whole topic. The Palestinians have been displaced from their land and have been left without hope in an open prison i.e., Gaza. They are refugees in their own homeland.
It’s inevitable that they will react.
You seem to believe that the Jews should be allowed act with impunity whilst the Palestinians should suffer and not be allowed to respond.
At the end of the day. It is the Jews who have displaced the Palestinians and not the other way round.
It is the Jews who have come from America and other countries and have set up illegal settlements by displacing Palestinians and not the other way round.
It is Jewish ‘settlers’ who are burning down Palestinian children’s schools and not the other way round.
It is Jewish settlers who are destroying Palestinian crops and not the other way round.
I could go on. If you take off the blinkers, you will see that it is the Jews who have the power in Israel and Palestine.
They are abusing that power thus causing the Palestinian people to support Hamas in a desperate hope that they will bring about change.

What happened on Oct. 7 was an atrocity. But it doesn’t come anywhere near the daily bombings and shootings in Gaza, not to mention the starvation of Palestinians and their children and the prevention of proper medical care to the sick and wounded. Who knows what other atrocities are being committed by the Israelis since foreign reporters are not being allowed into Gaza.

Ok so, the way you see it, the Jews deserved what came their way on October 7. They deserved every bit of it, including the women and children who were raped, but those poor “displaced” Palestinians were just fighting back in the only way they knew how or were capable of. Sorry, I don’t by that. I also don’t buy that it was the Jews who displaced the poor Palestinians because if you go back far enough this land was inhabited by the Jews. At some point, 70 AD I suppose, they were the ones who were displaced, so both sides can claim that talking point depending on the date and how far you want to jump back in time. Being displaced does not justify terrorism. That aside, I am very balanced on this issue. I personally don’t think the US or Europe should fund either side militarily. Let these two brutal enemies fight it out for themselves. Whoever wins, wins. Whoever loses, loses.

I try to steer clear of the emotionalism and look at it objectively. When I do that, I see two people groups with ancient hatreds against each other. In the final analysis, my way of thinking is to try as best as I can to see both sides of the issue and let God be the judge in the final analysis.

There were innocent civilians murdered on Oct 7 and I have condemned this atrocity.

I do not have a political affiliation. I vote on issues rather than blindly following a political party. I believe that when people have an affiliation to a particular political party, that their hands are tied and they can not be objective when faced with issues.
I am conservative in the sense that I voted against gay marriage etc., But I do not fall into any category.
As a Christian I do not subscribe to any particular denomination. I just simply follow the teaching of Christ and the apostles.
So, I am just simply a Christian following my conscience in the light of God’s word.

I never said that I was celebrating. What I see is an escalation of division between politicians which can often lead to war. Disagreement between different countries is often a catalyst for war.
I sympathise with the innocent Palestinians which includes women and children, not forgetting the Christian community in Gaza.
The Zionists have joined hands with the Hamas leadership in order to create the catalyst for destruction of Gaza.
They have joined hands with the American monster who makes war under false pretences, whilst pretending to be a peacemaker.
What about the female soldiers who reported suspicious activity on the border with Gaza as Hamas prepared for their incursion. They were told to be quiet or face a court marshal. Israel knew about the planned Hamas attack a year in advance. They knew what was about to unfold because they were collaborators with the Hamas leadership.
This is why six hours passed without any intervention by the Israeli military.

The sins of the Zionists is at least fifteen times worse and counting. And remember the Zionists were complicit in the Hamas atrocity.
You cannot use the argument that maybe there was only a few who were complicit to justify the atrocities being committed by the nation of Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Having said that, I think it’s ironic how the colonists always call the indigenous population ‘terrorists’ should they fight back against the tyranny.
The UK did the same when they violently invaded Ireland and took away the Irish people’s land and when they imposed their language and culture on the Irish. They even sought to force Protestantism on the Irish.
And when the Irish fought back they were labelled as ‘terrorists’.
The Irish people have great empathy for the Palestinian civilians and what they are going through, not just from the military destroying their homes and hospitals, but there are also the Jewish settlers, who have come from America and other far away countries and continents with their false Zionist dreams.

If I am for Biblical values, I must be against what the Bible calls sin.
If I love God and righteousness, I must therefore hate sin.
It all goes together.
I am for the things of the Lord, thus I am ANTI the things that are against Him.

The US has been the military wing of the bankers since they overthrew the Articles of Confederation with the “CONstitution” and retaking the “colonies” the King lost for them.
People should really study some history and THINK about what happened and has been happening for hundreds of years with money manipulation. History also shows that the Law is as fake as the money, and real money gets real law.
