70 House Republicans join Democrats to fund massive new FBI H.Q. building that will be bigger than the Pentagon

Is this a reward for the agency’s recent extra-constitutional police-state activities?

While everyone was focused yesterday, Nov. 8, on the election results, a Trump rally and the third GOP presidential debate, 70 House Republicans joined 203 Democrats in a vote to fund a huge expansion of the corrupt Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI is getting $375 million to build a lavish new headquarters in the D.C. suburbs of Maryland, which will reportedly be larger than the Pentagon.

America-first conservatives voiced their outrage on social media after House Republicans voted on Wednesday against Congressman Matt Gaetz‘s amendment to restrict funding for the new FBI headquarters.

Gaetz said on X Wednesday: “70 Republicans voted to reward the Weaponized FBI with a new $300M headquarters – larger than the Pentagon. Sad!”

He added:

“I don’t believe that the FBI deserves a massive new headquarters or Washington field office…building a new headquarters would condone, reinforce and enable the Washington field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s nefarious behavior.”

Gaetz said he felt the FBI had been politically weaponized and therefore deserved to operate out of a “rat-infested” building.

“Guess what? Our country is crumbling when a weaponized security state targets the civil liberties of American citizens because of their politics,” Gaetz said on X Thursday. “Those in the J. Edgar Hoover Building should sit in that rat-infested building until they get their act straight.”

The funds for the new building, which will be relocated from downtown Washington, D.C., to Prince George’s County, Md., were allocated in the $1.7 trillion fiscal 2023 omnibus spending bill.

Laura Loomer excoriated the 70 Republicans in a post to X. She also named them.

This is the same FBI, now being rewarded with fancy new digs, that has arrested women praying outside of abortion clinics, has harassed and intimidated Americans simply because of their political affiliations, and threatened parents voicing their opinions at school board meetings in Virginia and nationwide simply because they were outraged at all of the sexualization and racialization of children going on in public schools.

The FBI has also threatened to arrest those who practice traditional Catholicism.

In one of the most bizarre actions, even for the FBI, the agency has been stalking a female journalist in Texas. Why are they stalking Sarah Fields? Because she has reported on alleged Hamas training camps in Mexico and they want her to cough up her sources. We can’t let the American people learn about such frivolities as terror training camps on our border, now can we?

If that’s not enough to get your blood boiling, the weaponized FBI was in New Jersey Wednesday, Nov. 8, using a tank and other military equipment to search for one of those “most-wanted” J6 protesters, reports Collin Rugg of Trending Politics (see video below). This rogue agency basically locked down an entire small town, turned it upside down, and made a sickening show of force, all in search of a lone male suspect who’s likely not very dangerous, just scared to death of going to the D.C. Gulag with the rest of the J6 political prisoners.

The small town’s mayor, Christopher Slavicek, said the manhunt has frightened his community.

The incident started when the man, Gregory Yetman, fled his home after the FBI tried serving an arrest warrant thanks to USA Today, which exposed him.

“A situation like this of course brings heightened anxiety — it’s not normal to see FBI agents and vehicles and tanks in your community,” said Mayor Slavicek. “You never think something like this will happen in your own backyard.”

According to Roll Call, Congressman Steve Womack, Republican of Arkansas, said in a floor speech the current FBI headquarters needs to be replaced because the facility is crumbling. When he toured the facility, he said it was in a state of disrepair.

Good. Let it crumble.

The whole agency should be defunded and shuttered. But we still have way too many members of Congress in both parties who are so tone deaf that they either don’t know or don’t care that the FBI has become a tool of political oppression and no longer engages in honest law enforcement.

In my opinion, as a journalist who covered the crime beat for over 25 years at mainstream local newspapers in North Carolina and Georgia, the FBI has become the American Gestapo. In a free country the government fears the people, but in a dictatorship the people fear the government. This is definitely an agency that law-abiding Americans of traditional faith and values have come to fear, especially if they are outspoken and have an online platform of any size.

And yet, these 70 Republicans joined Democrats to fund a significant expansion of FBI operations, rewarding them for turning their massive military power on innocent Americans. Shameful, indeed.

  1. Hey Leo, love your work, and thanks for sharing it! Just want to pass on an idea I read at Strange Sounds substack, Manuel’s thought on this.

    That same day the vote occurred a large high-end prostitution ring was arrested and they acknowledged briefly that it included the names of clients from high levels of government. It seems plausible that the FBI used their inside knowledge of this ring, with subtle warnings to named clients who maybe, let’s just say, were House republicans. And maybe they were told this client list would be protected if they vote for the continued funding for the new HQ. The timing is perfect for the elites to ‘reveal’ to us plebs what they are really doing, without saying it, of course.

    It is believable, to me – 70 corrupt pervs in the House? Not a stretch at all. They are all already compromised in some other way or they wouldn’t be there anyway, right? Isn’t that the mind of a lost soul? What’s another sin to add to the others?
    Now they have access to an exclusive secret adult ‘club’ – why not? But 70?

    I still think it’s believable, as our system is just THAT corrupted.

  2. It seems the agencies that want to participate in America’s destruction are the same receiving the funds to build massive buildings to house their offices which will be used to destroy those that love this country and want to preserve it. I fear the destruction is unstoppable now.

    Every aspect of our government, elected or not, is hopelessly corrupt. I can’t help but think that since our dollar was removed from what was left of the gold standard in 1971 that our government at every level has been on an unlimited spending spree ever since. Every politician, lobbyist and contractor has his hands in this unlimited till. So some bureau-rats think they need a new FBI building?? Sure, why not? It’s all paid for by funny money and the plebs can be taxed to death to pay the interest on the national debt.

    Meanwhile this extra-governmental agency that supposedly protects us from crime—what exactly have they done for the safety of this country, especially in the last 50-60 years? Do we have less drug and human trafficking now or far more?? Are we safe from terrorism and gangsterism?? Are our elections free from corruption?? Is anything truly worthwhile being protected by them?? Or are they facilitating more evil?

    Who are they recruiting to fill their ranks to protect us? Not the straight arrows anymore—the kind depicted in the Jimmy Stewart movie “The FBI Story”. All kinds of sketchy types instead, representing values that are inimical to our nation’s survival. For instance, why else would they have a recruiting tent at a gay pride festival in North Carolina recently (as reported in Gateway Pundit Nov 6)? Just like our military is being similarly corrupted. We are being left defenseless against evil, both domestic and foreign.

    The sketchy types was what made up the ranks of the Gestapo. People of no standards or values except self-aggrandizement, cruelty and power for its own sake. Makes me sad that our government has turned into a cesspool and a haven and purveyor of evil. We started out with high ideals and high hopes. But what happened? Have we become a nation of the criminal and the depraved that our government is filled with such types and recruiting this kind? Or have we been invaded by evil aliens? I just don’t know anymore.

  5. How does a building owned by the federal govt, housing a federal agency, fall into disrepair? Certainly, the budget for that exists since the agency itself is being funded each year. Does no one in that building think to say, “You know what? This place needs some renovation work.” No, of course not. Doing that would require initiative followed by work, and we can’t have either of those things happening in DC, especially not when the agency involved is the FBI.

  13. We have an exceedingly corrupt government. Both parties are involved in the dishonesty, corruption and anti America agenda going on. We must have term limits of not more than 10 years. Our political system should not be a retirement and wealth plan for politicians. It’s time to have a government for the people, by the people and for the advancement of Americans and the best interests of our citizens. No more career politicians. Investigate and imprison any person in a government position that uses their position for anything illegal to enrich themselves or harm citizens and that includes passing laws to remove freedoms and Constitutional rights under the guise of protecting us or any particular group.
