Francis split the Catholic Church laity and clergy by his radical pronouncement and his purging of conservative priests and bishops; Look for his successor to be more of a unifying influence
The Argentine Jesuit Jorge Mario Bergoglio, aka Pope Francis, died Monday morning, the Vatican announced. He was 88 years old.
The Vatican said Francis’s cause of death was heart failure due to a stroke. Below is my analysis, including what to look for as the Vatican chooses the next pope two to three weeks from now.
It’s interesting that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance had just met with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Easter Sunday, just hours before the pope died early Monday morning. You can see in the video below that the pope was barely lucid in his final hours and it’s interesting that the Vatican put him out in such a public show anyway. Did they know he was about to die and wanted his last public appearance to include a meeting with the Catholic American Vice President and heir apparent to Donald Trump?
Vance had only good things to say about Francis, which is what you would expect under the circumstances, despite the fact that Vance’s outspoken positions on political issues are almost all diametrically opposed to those espoused by Pope Francis.
Francis was the Roman Catholic Church’s first Jesuit pope and was a committed globalist and socialist. Many believe he was an outright Marxist.
During the peak of Covid, Pope Francis energetically enforced the closing of Catholic churches worldwide and later pushed the devastating mRNA injections. The pope said it was the “moral obligation” for all Catholics to get their shots.
He was also the first real DEI pope, speaking profusely and persistently about the need to change the church’s age-old teaching about homosexuality being a serious sin.
Francis fired many conservative bishops around the world and declared virtual war on the traditional Latin mass, attended by millions of conservative Catholics. He excommunicated the conservative anti-globalist Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, who served as papal nunsio to the United States under the previous Pope Benedict XVI.
In the final analysis, Pope Francs will be remembered as a very divisive pope who catered to the liberal wing of Roman Catholicism with his controversial decisions to welcome unrepentant LGBTQs into the church, pushed mRNA injections on humanity, advocated the World Economic Forum’s climate-change agenda, and introduced other controversial measures into the church. He gave his blessing a few years back to a pagan ceremony that took place in St. Peter’s Square and was devoted to the South American fertility goddess Pachamama.
Like it or not, the papacy is a position of great influence in the world.
Francis used that position for great evil.
- He shut down a planned audit of the corrupt Vatican Bank and its possible connection to a widespread illicit sex trade.
- He sent the pedophile Cardinal Ted McCarrick to negotiate a deal with the Chinese Communist Party that placed the final authority for choosing Chinese bishops in the hands of the corrupt communist government in Beijing.
- He normalized LGBTQ filth.
- He dismissed conservative priests and bishops, replacing them with liberal ones.
- He taught that there was no literal hell and that the souls of unrepentant sinners simply disappear into nothingness.
- He called for unfettered migration of Muslims and other hostile illegal migrants into Western nations.
I have many friends who are Catholic, and the majority of my extended family are Catholic. The overwhelming majority of them did not trust or follow the teachings of Pope Francis. They saw right through him.
With Francis gone, I would not be surprised to see the next pope be cut from the same cloth, but in a less obvious or recognizable way. Perhaps he will be more likable and therefore more capable of deceiving the masses of Catholic faithful. Imagine if the world had a likable, lovable, charismatic pope who was able to unify the religious world in favor of the one-world agenda of the Great Reset, convincing all nominal Christians and religious folks in a time of great suffering and confusion that the way out of the global crisis is with biometric digital ID and digital/programmable tokens replacing paper cash. Perhaps he also convinces the masses in the aftermath of World War III that submitting to the digital surveillance state will also make them safer and more secure.
Just as the leftist Joe Biden administration paved the way for Donald Trump and the appearance of a conservative backlash on the political level, I expect the outragious antics of Pope Francis will lead to the selection of the next pope being, at least on the surface, a man who will be seen as more conservative and balanced.
One marker to look for will be if the next pope is chosen from the group of cardinals appointed by Francis. If that happens, you know he is not a true conservative or even a moderate, even if the media portrays him that way.
As always, pray for peace but prepare for war. Question everything that comes from the mainstream media and puppet governments installed by moneyed interests. Compare what you’re hearing from people in positions of authority to the Word of God, not necessarily to what the opposite party is saying. That’s how the globalists are able to manipulate public opinion, by playing the statements of one political faction off against the other in a fake left-right paradigm. In the final analysis, it should be apparent that neither side is preaching biblical truth, even if one sounds more favorable to the conservative Christian ear. Both sides will lead us off a cliff. Only Christ and his Holy Word are trustworthy arbiters of truth and justice.

I saw a list of possible replacements for him. Some every bit as liberal left as he was. We’ll see about the “this is the last Pope” before the return of Christ theory. Was it all baloney put out by the Catholic church? Remains to be seen. Maybe a group will run the church instead of a Pope.

In this article, Leo rightly puts the focus on the ways and means of the globalist elites. After a period of “strong arm” policies, there is a softer “reprieve” [ somewhat like the pauses between birth pangs ]…. but never more than an illusion of a return to what it was before. Does it resemble a “cat and mouse” scenario ?

I know this to be nothing more than the pitiful and tragic death, and resulting permanent separation from God, of the latest cult leader of the catholic church. Here is what the Word of God tells us about who He is, and it is utterly opposed to catholicism. In plain English, the pope is NOT the vicar of Christ. This is one of countless manufactured terms of the catholic church. What an ultimately insulting thing to say, as it means by definition, that he is an equal to God Almighty and is a unique representative for Him.
Friends, anyone who accepts Christ as their personal Saviour will spend eternity WITH Him. When we become saved, we can pray to God directly, without any mediator, and we can confess our sins to him as we ask for forgiveness. The pope, just as all priests, cardinals, or any other official in the catholic church are merely sinful men. They cannot save us, nor can any dead person, including Mary, Jesus’ earthly mother. Mary is NOT the mother of God!!!

When Bergoglio was elected pope in 2013 (after Benedict was forced out), I thought it odd that very little was made of the fact that he was the first pope from the Western Hemisphere. Remember when John Paul II was elected? That it was ground-breaking that a Pole became pope? That election of a “foreigner” was discussed endlessly, but not Bergoglio (an Argentine-Italian). Why was discussion of that almost non-existent? Why there was little about him and his episcopate in Argentina discussed in the mainstream media, contrary to how past popes’ histories were endlessly discussed. Puzzling!
In addition, Bergoglio was the first Jesuit pope, which signifies something important got up-ended to allow it. Because the Jesuit order was formed by Ignatius to serve the papacy and defend it. They weren’t even allow to become bishops by Ignatius, certainly not the pope. Over time, they formed their own kind of hierarchy headed by the Jesuit General—nicknamed the “Black Pope” as he wore black instead of papal white. So what happened here to allow a Jesuit “white” pope at this time in history??
The Jesuits were an especially well-educated and capable group of men who led some of the most heroic missions in Catholic history in its early centuries. They were staunch defenders of the Church, but they also were deep state power brokers which often resulted in clashes with the secular governments. They were expelled them from many countries during the 18th century and suppressed by the papacy in 1773 (under pressure by those governments). They were restored as an order in 1815 after the defeat of Napoleon and his revolutionary forces. Through much of the 19th century the Jesuits (especially Félicité de Lamennais) began propagandizing to greatly enlarge the status of the papacy as a means to renew the Church, focusing it in the person of the pope, an effect we have seen up to the reign of John Paul II. But Bergoglio went the opposite direction in regards to the papal office, minimizing or even forbidding attempts by traditional minded Catholics to venerate the office. Why this change of strategy? Did this signal a concession to non-Catholic forces, like the Freemasons or globalists?
So a lot of questions remain about the reign of Francis—certainly He did A LOT of damage to the Church, probably the worst since the Vatican II council and Paul VI’s collapse before secular forces, allowing the ruin of the Tridentine liturgy. Francis had stacked the college of cardinals to elect another to carry on his “strategy”, whatever that is supposed to accomplish. Which seems to be to take apart the Catholic church until there’s nothing left. We see the results most especially in Germany. I don’t see that destruction as good for Western Civilization, despite what any anti-Catholic may say. I’m just discussing this from a political point of view, not from any Catholic/Protestants doctrinal controversies.

Isaiah 5:20. It reads:
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
I believe that Francis was preparing the Catholic church for the reign of the antichrist ‘man of sin’ whose reign will be a time of huge spiritual activity and moral decadence, at the same time.
This can only be possible if definitions of ‘good and evil’ are blurred.
Jesus says that in the end times there will be huge demonic activity which will be so convincing that it would deceive, even, the elect if that were possible Jesus warns that iniquity will abound at this time.
“11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
I believe that the next pope will continue with the inclusive agenda and the amalgamation of world religions into one homogenous religion.
For this to happen, the doctrines which define a religion such as Catholicism will need to be softened and blurred so that it will be more accommodating to other religions.
The word ‘Catholic’ means ‘Universal’ and I believe the agenda of the Catholic church is to bring all religions into one homogenous universal religion.
I believe that the next pope will be a very evil man who will help with the set up of an inclusive world word religion in preparation for the reign of the antichrist ‘man of sin’
It’s interesting that the name ‘Roman Catholic Church’ doesn’t include the name of Christ.

This is a very insightful statement. We see a lot of that “blurring” going on, all across the board, secular and Christian.
You also said: “It’s interesting that the name ‘Roman Catholic Church’ doesn’t include the name of Christ. “
The “Church” was simply known in New Testament and early Christian era as “The Church”–Ecclesia, which means to call out an assembly. In the Christian sense, Ecclesia means to be called out from the world to God’s Kingdom. Didn’t have “Christ’s” Church as its title, just “the Church”. And “catholic” meant universal in both Christian praxis and belief. It’s in the Nicene Creed that succinctly defined Christian belief.
Since those early days, “The Church” has picked up adjectives like Roman Catholic Church, Orthodox Church, Lutheran Church, Presbyterian Church, Methodist, Anglican, Baptist, non-denominational church to describe the extremely numerous parties “The Church” has split into over the centuries. The divisions indicate a sinful condition, whereby those within “The Church” failed to deal with and reconcile their differences and thus separated from each other Heresies were almost never repented of, neither were rifts caused by less important differences. Those divisions remain unhealed to this day. This failure has weakened Christianity immensely to the point that now formerly Christian countries are jettisoning Christianity as irrelevant or harmful and forbidding any public expression of it.
The RC Church and numerous others—after centuries of aggressive competition from secularism (particularly after WWI and WWII)–made the mistake of trying to rejoin the secular world, to become “relevant” to the kingdom of man. That’s what the so-called “modernization” of Vatican II was all about. Paul VI’s address to the UN in 1965 was virtually a surrender to the secular world. Francis’ reign merely carried on the same surrender more radically and most likely, his successor will go even further.
That the RC church might become the repository of all religions in order to create one new religion seems far-fetched. Because no organization seriously wants to give up their political “turf”. Take the example of the Protestants—they all call each other “fellow Christians” more or less, but NOT ONE OF THEM wishes to heal any division in doctrine/dogma to unite with another denomination. They mean to keep separated and preserve their turf. Not to mention those Christians who refuse to associate with any church—representing divisions millions-fold. The divisions against Christianity are even greater for Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc. So how this “one world religion” will come about seems remote to me and is unlikely to center on the RC church, despite all their secularizing efforts to please everyone. Any world-wide religious unity would have to center on Jerusalem at the very least (the crossroads of 3 religions), not Rome. If there is to be any one world religion it would be essentially atheist, centering on the State as god. As Louis XIV famously said: “L’État, c’est moi.” The proverbial man of sin. That’s always been the trend—the kingdom of man vs the Kingdom of God.

Hello Kayjae
Let me begin by saying that I don’t believe that the pope will be the antichrist ‘man of sin’.
I believe that the man of sin will be a circumcised Jew. This would be crucial for him to be deemed as authentic by the Zionists , both Jewish and Christian who wrongly believe that Christ will once again dwell on this earth.
He would not be allowed to sit in the temple if he were not a circumcised Jew.
But I believe that the Catholic church will play a significant role in the advancement of the apostasy in preparation for the reign of the man of sin, who I believe will reign from Jerusalem.
It’s clear from the teaching of Jesus and Paul that the man of sin will reign in a demonic era where delusion will be prevalent. Paul says that God will send strong delusion to those who did not have a love of the truth.
I believe that Paul is referring primarily to the apostate church which will have given up on essential truths which define the Christian faith including the true definition of morality.
The false teaching which says that Christ will once again dwell on this earth provides a platform for the ‘man of sin’ to reign as Christ on this earth. This is a part of the apostasy which I believe will afford the revealing of the man of sin whereby he is allowed to sit in the temple posing as God.
I’m aware that the church wasn’t always referred to as the ‘Christian’ church. In fact there was a time when the Christian church was simply referred to as ‘The Way’.
My reference to the ‘Roman Catholic Church’ was in the context that I believe this name defines their current agenda which is to amalgamate different religions. This is similar to the ‘New Age’ movement who embrace all religions but who, for example do not accept that Christhood is unique to Jesus Christ.
Pope Francis was a strong advocate for interfaith.
“Pope Francis made significant efforts to foster interreligious dialogue and promote unity among different faiths. Here are some highlights:
Interfaith Gatherings: Pope Francis participated in numerous interfaith events, including meetings with the Bektashi Order of Dervishes and other religious communities, to advocate for peace and understanding.
Advocacy for Peace: He consistently called for religions to work together to build bridges of peace and address global challenges”
So, when I read this I see the name ‘Roman Catholic(Universal) church as a statement of intent where the Catholic church is a key player in the drive to amalgamate various religions , especially the ‘Abrahamic’ religions. All three of these religions ,for the most part , expect a Messiah to dwell on this earth although their understandings vary.
But the bible clearly teaches that this world will be destroyed at Jesus Christ’s coming. Which is why the rapture of the church must happen at Christ’s coming, before God destroys this world and it’s inhabitants.
It’s interesting that King Charles is in lockstep with the aims of Francis. In his recent Easter address
“He acknowledged ” the shared values across different religions, including Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. He highlighted the virtues of faith, hope, and love, emphasizing how these values resonate in various religious traditions. His message reflected his commitment to interfaith dialogue and mutual respect among religions.”
So, given the strong delusion which is to come and the Satanic wonders which will be displayed, I believe that apostate Christians and others who are not well grounded in the teaching of Christ and the apostles will succumb to the demonic onslaught which will be unleashed on the world when the antichrist ‘man of sin’ sits in the temple claiming to be God.
Jesus said
4″For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
But I believe that the very elect will not succumb to the coming demonic onslaught because they will be true Christians born again of the Holy Spirit and will not depart from the true teaching of Christ and his apostles and many will be martyred for their faith.
Division in the Christian church is mainly due to the departure of various factions / denominations from teaching of Christ and his apostles. In fact the apostasy mentioned by Paul is the result of Christians falling away from the clear teaching of Christ and his apostles.
When it comes to doctrine and faith , Christianity cannot be said to be ‘inclusive’ . In fact Christianity is ‘exclusive’ resulting in true Christians having to leave certain fellowships / denominations who have become so apostate in their teaching and practises.
When the antichrist ‘man of sin’ is manifest , it will be the true Christians who will be persecuted for being too exclusive and for rejecting the dictates of the man of sin.
So, these are some of my thoughts and beliefs based on my understanding of the bible.

Hello Unibokk–Good points. I also believe that the anti-Christ will be a Jew. It figures they won’t accept a non-Jew as Messiah. In the Old Testament, Jerusalem was metaphorically referred to as Babylon and as a whore by the prophets. So that if the 3rd temple is rebuilt, the anti-Christ will be at hand to officiate in it. There had been numerous attempts to rebuild the temple after its destruction in 70 AD–all failed spectacularly. So I wonder how this current plan to rebuild will come to completion. Would God allow animal sacrifices to begin again in Jerusalem after the sacrifice of His Son? I don’t think so.
On another note, Francis, of course, was not the first pope to encourage “interfaith” assemblies. John Paul II did a lot of it, much of it controversial, whereby he ordered Christian imagery to be hidden at interfaith conferences so that non-Christians in attendance would not be offended. I think all this interfaith business began with John XXIII at the II Vatican Council.

Hello Gerry
If you read my comment properly you will see that I used the word “DWELL’.
I’m saying that Christ will never DWELL on this earth again.
Matthew 24:30 is referring to the coming of the Lord which is when the resurrection and the rapture will happen. This verse makes no mention of Christ returning to dwell on this earth. In fact , if you included verses 29 and 31 you would have got a more accurate picture.
Here I’ll help you
29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Here we see the beginning of the destruction of the heavens and the earth and we see that Christ sends his angels to gather his elect.
If you use your common sense you will realise that the reason why the dead in Christ are resurrected and raptured together with the living saints to be with Christ , IN THE AIR, is because this world will be destroyed at Christs coming.
The church will be taken back to heaven with Christ so that we can escape God’s wrath which is unleashed upon this earth and it’s inhabitants, following Christ’s second coming and the rapture. Jesus likens this event to when Lot who was seized by the angels and taken to safety from that sinful city before God destroyed the city and it’s inhabitants.
Peter describes the destruction of this earth in great detail , when he says:
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
If you are a Christian then you should be looking for NEW heavens and a NEW earth in accordance with the teaching of Christ and his apostles.
PS. It is generally believed that in Job 19:25, Job was referring to Christ’s earthly ministry. This verse cannot be used to nullify the clear teaching of Christ and his apostles.
Old testament prophecies and sayings must be read in the light of the clear teaching of Christ and his apostles otherwise you run the risk of inventing false doctrine, just like the dispensationalists.
But in some other comments you have made you show scant regard for the scriptures. And when your errors are pointed out, you refuse to acknowledge that you’ve erred. The truth doesn’t matter to you. The only reason you are responding to my comment is to get back at me for previously pointing out your errors to you. But I’m responding to you for the sake of other readers who may be reading these comments.

I remember Jesus saying that Jerusalem killed the prophets. And we know that Jerusalem is where Christ was crucified.
God allowed the desecration of the temple by Antiochus Epiphanes who sacrificed a pig on the alter. So, I believe that the temple will be fully operational but will not have God’s blessing.
I couldn’t find a reference in the old testament where Jerusalem was metaphorically referred to as Babylon But Ezekiel 16. Jerusalem was referred to as playing the harlot.
I had forgotten about John Paul. He became the first pope to visit a mosque—the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria.
He also officiated at multi-faith prayer meetings.
“One notable example is the World Day of Prayer for Peace held in Assisi, Italy, in 1986. He invited leaders from various religions, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and others, to come together and pray for peace”
