All of those in the West celebrating the fall of the Assad regime in Syria had better be careful what they wish for.
I’ve heard some awfully dumb statements coming from conservative circles in recent days about the “stunning” nine-day collapse of Syria. Not so stunning when you learn that the American CIA has been behind the scenes planning it for months with the full support of its NATO ally Turkey.
One prominent regular guest commentator on Fox News has come out and said both sides in the Syrian Civil War are made up of really bad guys, but that he was hoping the coalition of “rebels” which include the former El Nusra, al-Qaida and other Sunni Muslim terrorists would win. Why? Because they’re against Russia and Iran, whom he fears more.
But even that nonsense pales in comparison to some of the other chatter out there in conservative and even Christian circles, where I’m hearing them say there is “hope” now for a democratically elected constitutional republic to emerge in Syria. Where is there another example of such a government, of, by and for the people, anywhere in the Middle East right now? I would actually go further and say I don’t see a government anywhere on Earth right now that reflects those vaunted principles.
Let’s face it: The U.S. didn’t support the rebels who overran Syria because they thought Assad was too brutal of a dictator. They supported them because it was yet another way to deal a black eye to Russia.
Instead of Russia and Iran running the show in Syria, now we face the very real possibility that Russia and Iran will be replaced with Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Syria’s new jihadist regime has reportedly already started rounding up the Christians.
But the celebrations in America continue. We beat Russia! Yay!
Even some of the most sincere Christian supporters of the state of Israel are celebrating the fall of Assad. However brutal of a dictator he was, at least Assad, being from the Alawite Shia sect, was one of the religious minorities in Syria. As such, he protected other minorities in the country, which includes Christians. About 2 percent of Syria’s population are Christian.
Now, with the Sunnis in control of the country, we should expect nothing other than oppression, if not open slaughter, of Syrian Christians. That’s what Sunni Muslim regimes always do when empowered. That’s their history. Read the works of historian Raymond Ibrahim and you will get acquainted with this history. A good place to start would be to study the history of the Ottoman Empire and what they did to the Armenian Christians.
For a peek at who HTS and its comrades really are, take a look at this 3-minute video, where they say openly that their next goal is to take over Jerusalem.
The West and Israel are playing with fire. They think they can use one portion of Islam to punish the other portion. They think the portion backed by Iran is “more evil” than the portion backed by Turkey. I fear they are in for a rude awakening.
Watch the video below for a sneak peek at exactly the type of folks we are talking about who now claim to have the reins of power in Syria. These Islamist rebels are filmed celebrating the taking of Damascus by promising that it’s just the start and that they will take Jerusalem next to free all the Gazans.
Don’t they look like fine gentlemen?
No, they are the type of men who will go about implementing Sharia law and forcing it upon every man, woman and child. This will cause many Christians and other resisters to be killed, or sent fleeing as refugees. If the West thinks Iran was the biggest threat to the Middle East, and Assad was the nastiest brutal dictator, they are about to learn what real brutality looks like.
Yes, Assad unleashed his bloody ire on Islamic rebels who tried to take over his country. As a secular Shia Muslim, Assad did not focus his brutality on the Christians and other religious minorities in Syria. Why? Because the Christians did not take up arms against him.
The American Russophobic mentality has blinded those globalist elites who have been in charge of U.S. foreign policy for decades. We could have made peace with Russia after the Cold War ended in 1990. Instead, we expanded NATO right up to the edge of Russia’s border and placed Western troops and weapons in those former Soviet-bloc countries. Then we militarized Ukraine, installed a Western puppet government there and weaponized it against Russia, with Kiev attacking Russian-speaking areas of Eastern Ukraine for years. Then, when Russia finally had enough and invaded Ukraine, we placed even more sophisticated weapons and missile systems there, and told Ukraine it was OK to fire them into Russia proper.
Imagine if Russia had done that in Mexico? Trained Mexicans to fight Americans, then sent them super-sophisticated missile systems and told them to go ahead and start firing them into Texas. How would the American government react to that? Oh, but it gets worse. In our hypothetical scenario, when the American government finally gets tired of being attacked by Mexicans armed with Russian weapons, we invade Mexico to stop it, only to be called a perpetrator of “naked aggression” by the Russian government and its media propagandists.
How would that work out?
I think you know what would happen. The U.S. government would interpret such action by Russia as tantamount to a declaration of war on America. World War III would ensue.
That, my friends, is what’s going on, only in reverse. And that is why we are now engaged in World War III. Syria was just the latest salvo in the Third World War. Don’t expect it to be the last, because now we are in a tit-for-tat escalation.
Pray for peace. Prepare for war.

Well…the killing begins in Syria. Our lovely jihadi proxies (depraved murderers repackaged by Western media as diversity-friendly) are now in the business of violently purging Syria’s minorities—Christians, Alawites, Druze, Shia–whoever is not Sunni. And they are particularly concentrating on executing former Syrian army officers. So along with Israel’s 480 bombing raids (since the fall of Assad) to destroy the Syrian military capability (all for Israel’s defense, of course), the Syrian officer corp is being wiped out by their rent-a-jihadis on the ground. Reminds me of the Katyn Massacre of the Polish officer corp in 1940 by the Soviets—so the US/Israel continues that murderous tradition, using their jihadi proxies do the up close and personal dirty work. Syria will be turned back to the Stone Age, its ancient culture looted and destroyed and the land laid waste. The Syrians exiled in Europe and Turkey are being forced to return to Syria—what will they find upon their return? How long will they be allow to exist? Does anyone care about their fate? Answer: no—the media is already busy distracting us and we are a very distractable people.
Israel and the West, particularly the US/UK, celebrate this utter destruction of Syria as eliminating “the axis of resistance” to Israel’s pursuit of “Greater Israel” in the Middle East. Israel has already made big land grabs in Syria, (and no—it’s not “temporary” occupation). We, in our “innocence”, imagine this to be a good thing. Now only Iran is left to be destroyed by us—the seventh and last nation on our hit list (per Gen. Wesley Clark’s revelation) to be reduced to ashes and looted. So while we prepare for the war against Iran, we can expect the genocide of the Palestinians to continue with complete impunity, enjoy more TikTok videos by IDF soldiers brazening showing off their atrocities, while the jihadis waste the populations of Syria. Soon they will target Lebanon.
Some commentaries have pointed out the strange fact that the Sunni nations do NOT support or make any attempt to defend the Palestinians (who are mainly Sunni), but that’s it’s only been the Shia that have made common cause with them. Why were the Shia willing to step over the Sunni/Shia theological divide to assist the Sunni Palestinians, but not the Sunni nations? Hard to say, but it was noted that the Sunni hate the Shia so intensely that they are willing to make alliance with their non-muslim enemies, the Israel/US, to take the Shia down. They ignore Israel’s massacres of the Sunni Palestinians because it was far more important to the Sunni to eliminate the Shia. It goes without saying that Palestinian, Syrian, Lebanese Christians must be eliminated, too, either by the usual IDF indiscriminate bombings or by jihadi on-the-ground massacre. (Does anyone in the West care about them? Answer: as always concerning the 3rd world—no).
So as these jihadis impose Sharia law in Syria, I take all this fear of radical Islam we’re supposed to be shaking constantly in fear of with a grain of salt. Not when it is us who are clearly manipulating jihadism for our own geopolitical purposes, weaponizing them for decades against many nations. What I fear most is the depraved ideology and outright criminality that runs our government—the one that allows a terrorist foreign nation to control our foreign policy, for whom we engage in one proxy or direct war after another to destroy one nation after another, causing the deaths of millions. Where we promote and applaud massacres and illegal land grabs by ourselves and/or by our ally, where we push the whole world toward nuclear war and imagine we’re going to win that (even if it cost us a few million people), Where we and our ally totally disregard international and any moral law. Where we allow our own laws to be subverted to accommodate all this evil. Where our media, conservative and liberal, lie daily to us about all of this or distract us so that we cannot extricate ourselves from all this evil done in our name.
Now the rent-a-jihadis in Syria are talking about taking al-Quds (Jerusalem) and perhaps these are the Turks among them talking this way. The Turks would like to see their old Ottoman empire re-established, which had included all of the Levant, including modern day Israel. Turkey is very powerful militarily. If so, Israel may regret what it has done to Syria by taking out the Shia “axis of resistance” which acted as a buffer to Turkey. But one evil deserves another.

Israeli leaders know from experience there is no guarantee that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) or ISIS affiliates who take over Syria will not be existential threats.
Islamist supremacists who enact verses like Quran 8:12 and 8:39, which tell them to murder unbelievers and take over the world are a danger to any civilized people. Now Israel is battling adherents of the Quran on multiple fronts. They are having to be proactive by destroying advanced Syrian military capabilities and establishing a buffer zone between Syria and Israel to protect citizens living in the Golan heights.
With the fall of Assad, a critical ally of Tehran in the “Axis of Resistance,” hopefully Syria will no longer be a conduit of weapons smuggling from Iran to Hezbollah. One of Khamenei’s key advisors, Ali Akbar Velayati, called Assad and Syria “the golden ring of the resistance chain in the region.”
But this upheaval does nothing to stop Iran’s nuclear aspirations. And as long as a genocidal regime of mullahs will have access to weapons of absolute destruction, any future peace process or ceasefire between Middle Eastern nations will be a temporary lull.
The Hill published a story yesterday (12/10/24), How the Assad regime’s collapse could force Iran to go nuclear, by Eitan Charnoff. According to Charnoff, with the weakening of Hezbollah and fall of Assad, Iran has a “fractured axis,” and may view its deterrence in the region as insufficient. That could very well propel them to try to finish their nuclear program before Trump is inaugurated. He concludes with this:
“For those who truly seek to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, the window to act may be mere weeks, for once the nuclear threshold is crossed, there is no turning back.”
We’ll see if anyone takes advantage of this window before it’s too late. Hope so.

Remind me about the thriving democracies now in place in Libya, Iraq, Iran, and other Middle Eastern nations where we knew what was best for the locals. There is saying about doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results and that is the kinder of the options available for describing govt actors. The less charitable version is that they knew full well what the results in those countries and others would be and saw those outcomes as worthy goals. That simply makes them evil, which is much worse than stupid or incompetent.

Assad is a Britain-schooled/trained ophthamologist. His wife is a British citizen, born and raised in London. After university she worked for Goldman Sachs then was set to attend Harvard for an MBA when her decision to marry Bashar scuppered that plan. Their family very much indulged in Western cultural. The intense western propaganda re. Al Assad, including “gassing his own people,” will come back back to haunt them. And “Israel” will regret the high cost of vengeance for what they have done, like the high price they have paid for creating Hamas. But the saddest thing is that the highest price is always paid by the common people who just want to be left alone.

Sequence of events , summary:
The rapture will include both the dead in Christ who will be resurrected at Christ’s coming and also the saints who are still alive at Christ’s coming. The whole church will be removed from this earth because this earth will be totally destroyed.
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Christians should be looking for a new earth. We should not be seeking to restore this earth.
Jesus will NOT dwell on this earth again. He will reign with his saints/church, in heaven whilst this earth and it’s inhabitants are being destroyed during the period of wrath which will include the trumpet judgements and the bowls of wrath.
The destruction of the heavens and the earth, actually begins at the time of Christ’s coming. He will send his angels with the sound of a trumpet to take his church to safety with with Christ before the earth gets fully destroyed
So, how do you propose that this earth will be rebuilt??
And why would God rebuild this earth when he intends creating new heavens and a new earth for Christ to dwell with his glorified saints??
In Christ’s Olivet discourse, we see that the heavens begin to be destroyed at Christ’s coming, before he sends his angels to rapture his church. The ‘elect’ are the church.
“29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
Paul confirms this in his letter to the Thessalonians where he clearly says that the rapture will happen at the coming of the Lord.
“15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Paul does not say that the rapture will happen before the tribulation. He clearly says that the rapture will happen at Christ’s coming and after the resurrection of the dead in Christ, has taken place.
I hope you find this comment helpful.

lets face it. Islam does not allow for peace. There’s always someone they want to kill “for allah”. They can’t mind their own business and leave anyone to live their lives. It seems that allah is easily and always offended by someone. At least that’s the excuse used to murder.

Been happening for over 1400 years.
“Over the next 14 centuries, over 270 million people were slaughtered in the name of Islamic Jihad. Jews, Christians, Hindus, Zoroastrians, everyone who refused to become Muslim.”
– Christian apologist David Wood
No signs it will stop:
“Open Doors reports that during 2022 alone, 5,621 Christians were murdered in mostly Islamic countries, with 2,100 churches attacked and 4,542 Christians detained.”

I sense that this “global soap-opera” has been planned, timed, and scripted…. with the intention of making it seem like it all “just happened”, and the “players” [ i.e., world leaders ] are in control and are making ad hoc decisions. Nope. As Christians, we know that NOTHING JUST HAPPENS…..

True, Zelda! Even when things seem out of control, we see the big picture from His word about Who is in control!
I am the Lord, and there is no other;
I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the Lord, do all these things.’
Isaiah 45:6-7
Daniel answered and said:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.

It ought to be a matter of real curiosity why America cannot pursue a rational foreign policy for its own benefit without being directed by a foreign power (Israel) for their irrational aggressive ends. We have been made complicit in their war crimes against the indigenous peoples of the region, committed with the most merciless brutality to achieve the most death possible. The rest of the world is appalled and they wonder at our total indifference—the supposed leader in human rights. We Americans question none of bloodshed—we just say (including Trump) “finish the job!” because we are under the mistaken impression that Israel is OUR springboard to dominating the Middle East. “Every time anyone says that Israel is our only friend in the Middle East, I can’t help but think that before Israel, we had no enemies in the Middle East.”— John Sheehan, S.J. (From The Journal of Historical Review, March/April 2002 (Vol. 21, No. 2), page 34) It has been an alliance of criminality.
We continue to plan for a region totally scoured of its old Christian and muslim communities that had lived together in peace for many years. The Orthodox Christians in Syria speak Aramaic—Jesus’ language! I remember back in the early days of the Iraq war reading that Gen. McNichols said the US would NOT defend the Christians of Iraq. How strange that a supposedly Christian country would dump the Iraqi Christians. Saddam Hussein, a muslim, had actually protected them! It was a shocking statement for an American general to say, but that was the tactical decision. The Christians of Iraq were allowed to be exterminated or forced to leave their homeland and churches that had existed for many centuries. Then we organized and supported ISIS to wreak more terror throughout Iraq and Syria.
We participate in war crimes, too, just recently by illegally occupying Syria’s eastern territories, our robbery of their oil–which strangled their economy, weakening their defenses. But it seems no one in power questions this, why we do this and for whom, and much of the American public doesn’t either. So we are caught in endless war across the Middle East and against nations along the periphery of the Middle East, like Russia. Some years ago, Gen. Wesley Clark revealed that our strategy was to take down Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Iran, Somalia and Sudan. To accomplish this, we and Israel have been arming and financing vicious jihadi proxies and now Ukrainian terrorists through the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa to spread their murder and destruction across the region. The result is chaos. Who benefits from this?? Netanyahu and his ilk are very pleased Syria is wrecked, as they were with Iraq’s destruction, but how long can they, and their partner in crime, America keep control of those jihadis, criminals and terrorists?? Where will the blowback come and at whom?? It seems to me that our foreign policy is run by criminal minds and all of the chaos, death and mayhem must one day come back at us.

“Some years ago, Gen. Wesley Clark revealed that our strategy was to take down Iraq, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Iran, Somalia and Sudan“
Very interesting. The list of countries given by Gen. Wesley Clark is the same as the list given by Netanyahu, in his book.
“In his 1995 book Fighting Terrorism: How Democracies Can Defeat Domestic and International Terrorists, Benjamin Netanyahu indeed identified several countries as state sponsors of terrorism. He called for regime change and isolation for Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, and Somalia”
It’s easy to see that they are dancing to the same tune.
In a response to events in Syria, Netanyahu said that he wants to see a different Syria. He stated that Israel is establishing itself as a centre of power in the region. He said that those who co-operate with Israel benefit greatly and those who attack Israel, lose big.
This is the arrogance of a man who believes that Israel is taking control of the region. The ease with which Syria was taken, raises suspicion. There was virtually no resistance from the Syrian army and no resistance from the Russians.
I see Netanyahu’s arrogance growing and his appetite for war is increasing with every success on the battlefield.
It doesn’t require much intelligence to figure out Israel’s next move.
Iran is next . I believe that when Trump becomes president, he will demonise Iran and vilify it’s leader. He has already set the narrative by blaming Iran for the attempts on his life.
“but how long can they, and their partner in crime,
America keep control of those jihadis, criminals and terrorists??”
Israel and America are happy to see controlled chaos in Syria. This will keep Syria in a weakened state and unable to oppose the Zionist agenda in the region.
In the cases of Iraq and Libya, . They were left in chaos and suffered from civil unrest. I think that this is the Zionist agenda, i.e., to destabilise and weaken those countries in the region who might pose a threat to the expansionist policies of the Zionist ,Israeli State.
A weakened country often needs international aid and then America steps in with it’s ‘humanitarian aid’ then that country becomes reliant on America and it’s policies become influenced by it’s ‘benevolent’ master.

I fear for Christians in Syria, not just because of possible religious persecution but the Christian community were supportive of the Assad regime and can expect repercussions when the victory jubilation ends and when they are seen as the enemies of the new Syria.
The regime change in Syria is no surprise. Benjamin Netanyahu called for regime change in Syria, in his book ‘ Fighting Terrorism: How Democracies Can Defeat Domestic and International Terrorists”
Those who think Israel is a friend of Syria should consider that,
“Israel is now striking targets across Syria, destroying fighter jets, air defense radars, and anti-aircraft batteries.
This paves the way for Israel’s fighter jets and air refuelers, giving them freedom to fly over Syria when they make their way to Iran.”
America has a strategic arrangement with Iraq, so the American Israel alliance will be able to open an air corridor to Iran.
Next year I expect that there will be an all out war against Iran. I believe that Russia will step back just as they did in Syria.

The United States is celebrating the collapse of the Syrian government that is now in the hands of al-Qaeda. You may wonder why the U.S. would fight al-Qaeda in Afghanistan for two decades and then celebrate them in Syria. You would be right to recognize that contradiction and forgiven for now knowing that the U.S. has been arming al-Qaeda’s spin-off the al-Nusra Front since the Obama administration.
Obama hid that from the American people by coming up with a clever name for al-Nusra. He called them “moderates.” But they were always al-Qaeda and now President Biden says that their rule in Syria is a “fundamental act of justice.”
The U.S. government under both Democrat and Republican presidents have had a horrific record in foreign policy creating instability in the world and using taxpayer dollars to promote and support one tyrant after another. But war is so profitable for certain people that it will always exist and the cost to human life is immeasurable but the war mongering profittier’s and the brainwashed who support wars don’t care.
