Democrats just passed a $700 billion spending bill, and they did it during a recessionary economy with inflation at 41-year highs.

The bill will force middle-class Americans to pay $20 billion more in taxes while creating 87,000 new IRS agents, many of whom are being supplied with military-grade weapons of intimidation.

What kind of government passes a massive tax increase and doubles the size of the most hated government agency in an election year?

Certainly not one that’s worried about being voted out of office.

At the same time the government is arming federal agencies with weapons of war, it is coming after the guns that are in private hands, using red flag laws and other maneuvers such as gun buy-backs and list-making for citizens making ammunition purchases.

And globalist Democrats, aided by their globalist RINO partners, are doing all of this less than three months before a key midterm election that almost all the pollsters are predicting will be won by the Republicans in a sweeping landslide.

That just proves the Democrats aren’t at all concerned about these polls or the final election results.

They are using this time to consolidate their stranglehold over the federal apparatus while intimidating state and local governments into compliance with their agenda.

How can they do this?

An August 16 report by The Federalist says they can get away with all of these dreadful policies because the fix is in. And the U.S. Postal Service may hold the key to the whole dirty scheme.

The Postal Service recently announced a new elections division specifically to handle mailed-in ballots.

Chuck Devore at The Federalist concludes “the more our elections rely on the Postal Service, the more interference we can expect.”

Jim Hoft at The Gateway Pundit writes, “A major part of their election scheme is the work done by the US Postal Service with mail-in ballots. Democrats NEED mail-in ballots and Democrats NEED the assistance of the US Postal Service.”

Let’s not forget that the U.S. Postal Service is almost completely unionized and in the bag for the Democrat Party. Now they’ve been given a central role in our voting process.

How’s that going to work out for America?

We’ll find out on November 8.

But I predict the Republicans will win back only a fraction of the seats and not nearly enough to change the direction of the country in any significant way.

Please also do not take this as any kind of recommendation not to vote. I believe that as long as there’s even a small chance of changing out the government, we should act on it.

But I’m not expecting much of a shift.

I’ve always been leery of placing our hope in elections, or in any human messiah. No one with red blood flowing through his or her veins is coming to save us. Only our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can do that.

If you believe we are in the last days, then Revelation 13 applies. “Who is like the beast and who can make war against it?”

The beast himself may not have arrived yet, but the system he will inherit is definitely already in place. It is wicked to the core.

We need to use this time, this calm before the storm, to be forming human networks of like-minded believers who can work together and support each other in a coming onslaught of persecution. It won’t be easy to survive outside the system even as part of a group, but it will be impossible for the vast majority of believers to survive on their own. Meet up, link up, get to know each other now. And don’t be naïve, there will be Judas Iscariots aplenty, ready and willing to infiltrate and betray us.

In my travels and in dealing with feedback from readers, the number-one fatal flaw I see in most Christians is their naivety. They truly believe, for instance, that the police will be on our side, or that the local sheriff will be on our side, the military will be on our side, or some politician like Donald Trump is out there fighting for us and “won’t let us down.”

Trump already let us down. He empowered Fauci and Birx and Pence in March of 2020, allowing them to shut down the economy, dealing a fatal blow to one-third of U.S. small businesses. He gave his blessing to operation warp speed and to date has never stopped taking credit for one of the most devastating medical treatments in human history.

This type of naivety and misplaced trust will get you killed in the new normal that’s being planned for humanity.

Jesus forewarned us in Matthew 24 of the two markings of the last days — widespread deception and persecution of His followers.

Right after He describes a period He called the “beginning of sorrows” when earth’s inhabitants will be wracked by nations rising against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, earthquakes, famines and pestilences, He says this:

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for my namesake.

“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (NKJ Version)

Are you willing to be “hated” for His namesake?

Are you concerned that your love might grow cold?

I am.

I’ve been doing a lot of praying lately that I will be able to withstand all the hatred that’s about to come my way and still not fall into Satan’s trap of hating the other.

  2. Not just naivete. A shallowness. And carnal craving for power.
    Christian commentators I used to admire are annoying me. They’re single mindedly obsessed with getting Trump or at least one of “our men” into Washington. “Taking back America.” “Winning the culture war.”
    The United States of America is as good as dead. So is the culture. Not that the religious right was ever into artsy stuff or cultural enrichment. Not practical (AKA lucrative) enough.

    I would recommend fasting, along with your prayers.

    Fasting is something that we should all be doing, in so far as we are able.
    It needn’t, always, be for prolonged periods of time, some people can’t manage that. But a person could reduce the frequency of eating to twice a day instead of five times a day etc.,

    In the bible we see people fasting as they earnestly seek God’s favour; Fasting, brings us closer to God as we deprive our carnal instincts and prioritise God in our lives.

        If you’re referring to casting out demons, I would agree, provided
        that a Christian has first been given authority by God to cast out demons.

        In Mat 10 we see the disciples being given power against unclean spirits.

        Mat 10:1
        1 “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”

        I think it would be dangerous for somebody to assume that prayer and fasting automatically entitles them to cast out demons. I wouldn’t attempt to cast out demons unless God authorised me to do it.

        I remember in Acts 19 , the Jewish exorcists who took it upon themselves to use the name of Jesus to cast out an evil spirit from a man. But the evil spirit said
        “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”

        The man who had the the evil spirit attacked them so that they fled from the house naked and wounded. They had not been authorised to use the name of Jesus for exorcism.

        There are many cases of demon possession these days. So we have to be careful not to overstep our limits should we encounter a demon possessed person.

      2. I wasn’t referring to exorcisms, but resisting them on a personal level.
        In Acts 19 the Seven sons of Sceva weren’t Christians. I do agree with you about weak and inexperienced believers also getting in trouble by messing around. I would never try it myself.
        Had to visit a deliverance minister ten years ago. I fasted before the second session. It went more smoothly.

  6. Has anyone ever read the stuff by saul alinsky? About provoking revolutionary uprisings and bringing in the NWO in different ways and steps and if one way fails, try another, etc.? Well that’s exactly what they are doing, these secret society luciferian globalists. The whole world is controlled by them from the media to the music and movie industry, those in places of power and influence and it shows. They reveal themselves by symbols and they are everywhere but most are oblivious. Well it is right at the threshold of that time when the beast rules for a short time before God’s kingdom comes to crush it underfoot. But it will first be the worst time in history.

    What brings me comfort in reading Matthew 24 is that them coming for us happens SOON in the lineup of events rather than later. I can think of no greater reason or better way to die than for my faith in Jesus and that is how I want to go out. I will not go out kicking and screaming either, but rather like Stephen who followed the example of the Lord and did not withhold forgiveness from those responsible for his martyrdom. From that we later got Paul out of a Saul. Who knows how many more like that we will cause to occur? I heard several things on my news rounds today. One was that despite the persecution against Christians in Afghanistan right now, as if it wasn’t bad enough before that, is that the church is growing there. There is a saying, “the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.” It is true. Read Philippians and also read Foxe’s book of martyrs, the updated edition.

    The other item is about an impending invasion from China from insider intel and that’s not the first time I heard it. I think of Babylon surrounding Jerusalem and laying siege to the city. It did happen, the warnings went out, but no one wanted to listen to Jeremiah. They had abandoned God, but only wanted to hear soothing words of peace and safety. I think of the gluttoned masses today and the luxury lined homes of many professed Christians, many who hold onto wealth by compromise and adhere to the false prosperity gospel and can’t help but see the handwriting on the wall.

    But how does one become a Stephen? It is not by natural but by supernatural means. We all need this in the times ahead. God can protect us but when it is time to lay our lives down in martyrdom, God expects that much of us. Again, read Philippians at least. It also wouldn’t hurt to be filled with God’s self sacrificial, unconditional love so that we can love our enemies and forgive them these things, be filled with mercy and peace and joy as well. Like the five wise virgins, we need that inside of us as fuel to light our way. Once you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit (and the real one), you know exactly what I mean. Pray to the Lord for this and study His Word and listen to the Holy Spirit, that’s how it happened to me. It is for all who come to Jesus in earnest. You will no longer be distracted by human enemies and entangled in the battles of the world that are in vain, nor frustrated by these things. It is a whole new abundant life and level of it. THAT is what is needed!

  7. Thank you Leo. I don’t know how you do it reporting such depressing news but needed nonetheless, as it is the truth and we need to know it! I personally have been struggling with my emotions but I know this is a test of where I’m at spiritually and for that I’m thankful. Be in The Word saints! Once we die to ourselves and live for Christ, we can be like the Apostle Paul who couldn’t wait to die and be with the Lord, nevertheless, he served as the Lord directed him until his time was up.     1. Furthermore, this matters terribly. For ooe thing, every nanosecond Trump is not ruled out for 2024, he is blocking someone good for 2024 from gaining traction. So far, the only person mentioned for 2024 other than Trump is DeSantis, and he has been notably reticent about criticizing Trump,leading me to think he may wind up being the replacement stooge (however saintly his image appears. (Note that he is still allowing 15 week babies to be aborted.))

      Rand Paul, however, is completely blocked, despite the fact that he is a good covid antagonist and has a Human Life at Conception Amendment on the docket already

  18. Verses 12 & 13 are exactly where my heart is, sadly. I have need of endurance, which is so counter to what I call “Christianity-Americana” (my hunch is that most of us have been effected by the prosperity gospel, even more than we are aware of). I am crying out that my faith does not just wane, but grows somehow. Thinking I’m in good company.

      1. Same here. It seems as though many of the followers of Christ have been disenfranchised from mainline protestant churches. The churches have grown so worldly that surely “Ichabod” has been invisibly written over their doors.
